cjm
has anyone had any trouble with a single trigger on a sbs, i seem to recall reading somewhere that these gave trouble and should be avoided. the gun in question is a aya no 4 thanks
Albert 888
Had a very minor problem with a yilditz, wouldnt shot the second barrel. It was operator error in the end,I was leaving my finger on the trigger so the second barrel wouldn't fire. Worked great when not wearing gloves. sishyplops
I have no personal experience but was speaking to a well reputed gunsmith recently who said there they struggle to sell single trigger side x sides unless they are beretta's , given the choice of two identical guns one single the other double I would pick the double every day , I have two Aya no4's both double trigger
Bluebarrels
I reckon I must have put 25k carts through mine, never had any problems with the trigger BB But mine is a zabala, single trigger multichoke, and built like a tank Edited January 3, 2016 by Bluebarrels

Gunman
AyA No4 trigger is a totally different set up to those guns mentioned by others .Where as they are designed as single trigger guns the AyA is a conventional Anson and Deeley action with a Miller style [uS] trigger . These when set up and working correctly are reasonably reliable but they do have some problem if the manufacture is not quite as good as it should be ,and we know that AyA have had their problems over the years . All in all and for the most part they are OK but personally I would avoid ,unless knowing the full history of the gun in question .
dipper
I have aWestley Richards single selective trigger and it went wrong. I phone: up a gun maker who builds doubles gun and rifles.he said have you had enyone working on it I hadn't .he said they are more difficult to fix on a s/b/s that was apparent when I got the bill can't see the point of them on a s/b/s unless both barrels are choked the same.Dipper
PhilR
I had no problems with my Aya no2 sidelock single trigger which I owned for 5 odd years, it was the reason I bought the gun in the first place.
JohnfromUK
I have a single trigger AyA - and though I don't much like it, it has been 100% reliable. I understand that AyA used more than one type (mine is non selective) and the type I have is generally trouble free. Personal preference is double triggers, both on s/s and o/u, but I have both on both.

It is getting harder all the time to find a good single trigger man for English guns .Problem is they are all getting older and dont want the hassle and I for one dont blame them .
