polester
Lowering the car is not the only way to improve the mpg. Putting the brightest bulbs in you can find will help massively , as well as increasing the exhaust flow with the biggest back box that will fit. Twistedsanity
i have it on good authority that laying the back seats down in a horizontal position is helpful, as is carrying around a happy dog (grumpy ones have the opposite effect )
BangBangNik
Don't forget loud music with lots of bass......... You should be able to get at least 100 laps of McDonald's car park to a fivers worth of petrol.
rodp
Don't forget the vinyl stripes down the side, and the obligatory sun strip with "SuperSpeed " across it

rodp
Oh, and you MUST paint the wheels some bright and disgusting colour that contrasts badly with the rest of the car. Get loads more mpg with those
walshie
Ludicrously tinted windows and number plates in italics help.
rodp
Another thing that helps is when you get out you have to stand with your mouth open, sort of sagging. Then when you speak you have to grunt and mumble things like " Wos wiv th pigs rand ere, I ay dun nuffin rong, I is gud driver, I jus forgot me tacs an insoorans". remmy1100
and stamping on the loud pedal as you pass speed cameras is a definite mpg saver as you'll quickly be banned and the fuel will last ages

steve_b_wales
Wearing a baseball cap with the peak facing backwards, decreases the air drag, thus increasing the mpg.
mattyg1086
Ok seriously now im not talking about the tyres rubbing on the arches or anything but the bluemotion vars are slightly lowered arent they so i was wondering if it would help a set of springs is like 50 quid and i do alot of motorway driving. My tyres are fully inflated and i regularly service the car what else can i do

rodp
Seriously ? The mpg gain would be so small you would need a lab to test it. Keep speed down (50 ish) try not to brake then accelerate, try to keep rolling along. Other than that buy a smaller car. What vehicle and what mpg? You may end up feeling every stone and shallow hole you go over.....
