winnie&bezza
The last 3 episodes have been superb and even though I was expecting more fighting in last nights finale, it didn't disappoint. Good to see little finger get what he's been deserving for a long time. Just 2 years to wait til next episode 😩

winnie&bezza
2 years !!!! Only just started watching it c what all hype was about Apparently so. This season has been rather brilliant. The whole series can be slow at times but ride it out and take it in. Obviously the budget has got bigger as it's gone along and has got more epic. lord_seagrave
The reason for the delay is the Winter filming schedule. Apparently they need to wait for the snow to get the right conditions. It really has been excellent. Some of the acting hasn't been of the highest standard (although clearly Jon 'Snow' has been making up for lack of acting classes by spending time in the gym - dat *** ), but the interplay between Danaerys and Ser Jorah a couple of episodes ago was some of the best I've seen on screen. A great series, and, if the rumours are to be believed, the author is going to novelise the TV story. I think he plays Jon snow well actually. Sansa is a good actress.
Rewulf
I think pretty much all the actors have done a cracking job. Its been great to see them develop and grow (up) I heard its about a years wait for season 8, and seeing as each episode is more of a short film type length, thats fine by me. The story adaptation from the books is also first class writing, as the books are quite complex, this had to be done. You now have a years worth of fan theories to hack through on what happens next, is Bran really the Night King ?
Twistedsanity
I read yesterday that the actors salaries are about $600,000 each per episode!

Well I saw the theory of bran and thought nooooo but when he transported just before the attack on the wall, it didn't show he was truly a raven. Was he channeling in to be the night King? We shall see.
getthegat
Who cares what salary they get, the whole series has been epic. Sub plot, under sub plot, characters growing from nothing to hero or villain, unforseen deaths, blood and gore, horny birds, giants, zombies....wow the list goes on and then surprises you further. Scenery to blow your Secret Escapes out of the ball park. Battles like never before on TV or or movie's. Yeah I like it just a bit 😁
panoma1
It's nought but a computer game! The audience merely watching someone else playing it......

figgy
More episodes per series would be nice, like ten or twelve and more sex and violence as it's got quite tame.
Rewulf
More episodes per series would be nice, like ten or twelve and more sex and violence as it's got quite tame. If they are copping half a mil an episode, then thats the answer to that one, I rather like the long episode bit though. I think violence wise, not much has changed, the special effects are better, the Battle of the illegitimates was movie quality. Sex scene and nudity wise, it has become less gratuitous , I know it put quite a few ladies off, and the producers have bowed to public opinion, it doesnt need the 'pull' of random nudity now days. Hopefully the franchise will continue in the future, as there are many possibilities for the universe, I for one would like to see Roberts rebellion made into either a film or series. winnie&bezza
It's nought but a computer game! The audience merely watching someone else playing it...... Aye!? You could say that about every film.
winnie&bezza
As much as I like a sex scene as much as the next man, some of it cheapened it. Even the violence was a bit OTT. I really liked the darker more serious turn of this series and didn't miss the lack of sex. Only got to log onto the laptop for that 👌
shaun4860
The last 2 90 minute episodes were because it started late and if ran for 3x60 minute episodes it would interfere with the start of the American Football season....True story. The next series is 8 episodes long and that will be the end of that story, However they are considering other story lines, as in prequels, I'm currently reading 3 novellas set 100 years before where we are now about Sir Duncan the Tall and his Squire, Egg, Egg is really one of the King's sons....... you read it here first
panoma1
Aye!? You could say that about every film. On sword and sorcery/imaginary/make believe films such as GOT, yes.......but not really on films that accurately reflect a possible, real life, believable situation!.......These are more a story than a computer game! Danger-Mouse
I enjoyed this season, it had some great moments, especially the battle scene where we first saw the awesome power of the dragons unleashed. I have to disagree with the OP though . . . episode 6 "Beyond the Wall" was naff. Great special effects but a contrived and rushed storyline. Other than that though pretty much a perfect season. So, the actors are earning $600k per episode huh? Not bad but George RR Martin earns $15 million per season.

figgy
For me the sex and violence was game of thrones. Sex is used as a weapon a bargaining tool in place of or including violence. The sex isn't porn it was part of life in times past and not the taboo subject it is today. Same with the brutality. The whole thing has become about underhanded wheeling dealings and less comedy and funny humorous edits that earlier series had.
chrisjpainter
I was bored out of my mind! Possibly shouldn't have started my GoT experience with this episode, but I'm not sure I'd be convinced. each to their own, I guess!
