Trelawney
One yesterday and one this morning. They seem to be shunning the easy access peanuts, and focussing on the sunflower hearts bird feeder. Not that I mind as the hearts are cheaper to buy!
Sciurus
I have been away so I haven’t picked up a gun in 4 weeks. Took the.410 and thermal out for a mooch this morning and ended up with 6 adults (2 were breeding pairs), so got them just in time. Also culled a large male yesterday in a home loan trap- the 1st for months. Total

Walker570
Yes, gone very quiet here too. Suppose you can't keep shooting 'em before you run out. All my flip top feeders are full but apart from little birds they are not being used.
Walker570
Finally got two this morning and have to admit it should have been three but had forgotten to top up my magazine and had that DEADLY CLICK...... When training if that happened it was 50p in the charity box. Never mind it will be there tomorrow.
ratchers
Was out at my new feeder this morning. Its one where I can't sneak up but as I approached I spotted one near my hide and when I reached it two running round after each other. Got set up and within 5 minutes a large grey was on the feeder, sorted him out and 5 minutes later another ate his last, nowt after that but judging by the amount gone from the feeding box, theres more.

Trelawney
Only one yesterday and one today. They both went to the sunflower heart feeder first, rather than the peanuts.

old man
1 today, jumping about like a loon but paused long enough to meet an AA field, another one looned in and out without stopping. Feeder nearly empty again.
Sciurus
2 shot with the air rifle and 2 trapped in loan traps. We are getting fewer reports of greys in gardens compared to last year, but they are still plentiful in the woods but very skittish and still avoiding feeders. Grrr Total

ratchers
Was a beautiful frosty morning today with lots of birds about, saw five roe deer before they saw me, a couple of hares and what I wanted, three greys which won't be seen again.
Walker570
NICE!! It was good to read in The Daily Telegraph that red squirrel numbers had stabilized up in Scotland and the Borders, keep up the good work tree rat killers.
