Sorry, but I cannot agree with that attitude.  You may not agree with the rule - there are lots I don't agree with - but in a society people should follow rules.

This is madness. Are you saying it is a person's duty to follow rules that deny them their most basic personal freedoms? What kind of a society is that to live in?

Poor Walker.

He might be the first person to reach 150.

Just out of curiosity. When you were in your 20's do you remember 80 year old men saying the same thing?

No , they where too busy enjoying themselves after fighting in two wars and avoiding polio, TB, and other flu pandemics etc etc etc etc.

Yes - IT IS your duty to follow the rules of the country in which you live.  They do not deny basic personal freedoms any more than loads of other 'rules' we all obey.  They are there to protect society by maintaining the outbreak in a way that remains low enough that the NHS can continue to function

Is that the one where the NHS is 'protected' by keeping gravely ill people out of it while beds remain unoccupied? The one where cancers have gone untreated and undetected?

Or low enough to enable to nurses to make tic toc videos

Did you watch what everyone else did?

Looking at the naff slides they show the Northwest, Northeast and Yorkshire were all dark so in the poop, the Midlands colour was changing while the South is going to follow,  its spreading down through the country,  no one wants another lockdown,  lots of people will be off work lots will still be in, then its go home.

This should have been done at the start of October I'd have said, playing at little local lockdowns was ineffective,  can't have a beer after 10, but you can be there all day,  or spend the day out shopping.

Your dead against whatever government say but you haven't come up with any alternatives yet?

Johnson. A clown. How will his announcement this evening that he is now going to extend furlough now going help those who were made redundant earlier this month? What are they going to do? Be given their jobs back that they got made redundant from two weeks ago?

And tomorrow...1 November...back comes VAT on facemasks and other covid protective equipment.

A more useless, clueless and incompetent Prime Minister it'd be hard to find outside of a comedy routine. An still no word of if the self-employed earnings presumption for Universal Credit...due to be re-imposed on 12 November....will now not be re-imposed.

It is really very simple. Those who are at risk due to age / co-morbidity should shield.

Everyone else, for whom the official ONS statistics show covid19 is extremely unlikely to kill should get on with life
