I have no TV.

Years ago when married, my wife would watch no end of carp, soap operas were absolutely the lowest of the low, but have now been overtaken by "reality TV"

When I moved house I cancelled the direct debit for my TV Licence.

I do NOT miss it one bit, I realised I used to have it on as background noise.

Oh and I do read an awful lot of books.

Do you listen to the radio? On our boat we don't have a tv and listen to lots of podcasts through spotify.ย

I love listening to the radio. Drama is so much more gripping when you are creating the characters and landscapes in your head based on the dialogue you are hearing. Much better than some tv producers imagination poorly filmed by indifferent actors.

Yes indeed, unfortunately they are now part of RAYO with its 148 stations and the advertising content has grown massively and the quality has fallen immensely.

ย

I wonder how some of the advertising executives sleep at night from their **** poor output.

Oh yes and of course I could pay the ยฃ4 a month to go advert free, when it gets annoying I put a CD on and forget about all the pointless adverts.
