Keep the cz455 I have, work the trigger so its featherlight the same as my .223, and better glass.. It works for me. No bipod, just a sling. Nice light rifle for standing shots or off the mirror of the truck.

(Saying that, Iv only ever used 2 hmr's..)

For me it would be either a CZ 452 (american - lighter) syntetic stock or browning T-Bolt black synthetic, cut as short as possible and just a simple SAK mod on it, a good bit of glass maybe a MTC Genasis, Swivel Bipod, spare mag ! dont need much else.

Other than weight I cant fault my CZ452 varmint barrel that i have now, not ammo fussy at all and has put plenty in the bag ! :D

Brown Sauce - could you do me a favour and measure how much barrel there is from the front of the stock to the action. I need to see if one of the boyds will fit my 12" barreled varmint without needing a chop.

Cheers.

Ok from the front of the stock, back to the action (the line just infront of the forward scope mount) is about 11.5 inches, so I reckon you'll just by a gnats cock, get away without having to chop anything off. Have you taken into any screw cut for a moderator?

I would start with Stiller Predator 25X rimfire action, 20" Lilja stainless fluted barrel in CZ 452 varmint profile, custom stocked into a AAA grade varmint style stock with beavertail forend.

Glass would be a 4-12x40 Leupold VXR in Burris Signature Zee rings on Third Eye Picatinney rail, finished off with a Third Eye Over barrel Rimfire mod.
