I dont have a lansky but when my mate uses his he moves the stone back and forewards across the edge.As opposed to along the blade and gets fantastic results.Is there nothing on youtube to cofirm if your right or wrong?

More than likely it either earth's the low tension side of the ignition or interrupts the power to the coil.What outboard is it?

From the pictures based on what we can see it would have to be very cheap as in my opinion if the barrels are in that condition what's the action like inside.Even knock about guns are in better condition.

First was a gt 250 then the gt 750 kettle sorry it was watercooled so doesn't really fit the thread but it was a cracking two stroker.

Assuming it's 2 stroke to ensure when engine stops adequate lube drains onto bottom Crank bearing for use on start up?

Could it be to stop the Crank balancer clouting the bottom of the barrel/liner.
