  1. kinda interested! what did you decide to do?
  2. yep - best mate fell for it too.
  3. my mate who I part own a boat with went of mwnt and cardigan island (west wales) and had a total of 50 in 3 hours over 2 days. Guys of the rocks getting a few. I'll be heading down Lulworth cove tomorrow afternoon/evening and I'll report back if I get any.
  4. don't sell it mate that looks to be in ace condition. Also seriously, if you learn to shoot accurately with one of those and get the hold right, and tighten those groupings, any other kind of air rifle you'll be lethal with. You've probably got one of the best break barrels there apart from the hw99 imho. Stick with it, wait till the dieseling stops and have some fun.
  5. 6 ftlb ? sorry don't mean to be a **** on that one but that rifle was not designed to be under 12ftlb
  6. exactly as ditchy says. Had one years ago and the last tool to own it put in a ox spring. Kicked and shook and had roughly 3-4" groups. I'm not knocking it's capacity to receive a square spring, these were designed I believe to be 16ftlb anyway, but choose decent internals (not a ox spring) , polish it all up and youll have a sweet shooter. Should easily get a inch at 30 yards. Btw chrono it before and after.
  7. My mate in Yeovil does it, has had quite a few, uses cheap folding cage traps of ebay. I would, but can't stand shellfish. River fishing round here you'd watch your float walk off if you know what I mean. Only in some areas so not spread everywhere yet.
  8. +1 knew they were old - just never to that extent. Fascinating
  9. I've a 120ltr tropical tank and have 4 corys 1 plec 8 cardinals 2 gouramis and 6 barbs. Pretty sure 130 ltr is over kill. A good 2 ft tank will do without them getting stressed
  10. could I have the book of gun owners care and repair please pm me bank details and total cost and I'll transfer payment at lunch
  11. just a recap I also bought a similar pump and its great. Well worth the money. Plenty of spares and literally 2 mins to put together. Very easy to use until the last 5 pumps but I just use my body weight. For the money it's a steal.
  12. Fair play to webley they got back to me within the same day. Not sure if the eazi glide is the same as the ultra glide but I'll use it for a start. 3 diagrams attached and pretty detailed as well. Very pleased with the service
  13. that's what I use. Might be over kill but I used nearly a tube of the glue on one repair to make sure. Also when I chuck the kit on my bike, I've got a co2 canister which you connect to the tyre. About same size as the airgun ones but it has a screw thread and a turn valve. Single use but has got me home safely so worth the money
  14. sent them a email and tbh the site is quite informative. Hope to hear back soon
  15. not sure if this is the right section I've a pump which needs new seals and was wondering if anybody had a take down off one. Googled it and everything comes up with accupumps as they seem the newer model. Even the main suppliers for parts only list accupumps. I can get the parts on ebay but was thinking as they are only o rings they must be cheaper than the £15-25 sets listed they want. Any help at all would be appreciated
  16. old pallets. other side looks better
  17. I like new ideas. I'll see if I can find anything on YouTube tomorrow. Was on another topic quite a while back and somebody mentioned about string covered in tar wrapped around the stock and set alight or some such for a tiger stripe effect. Might have a go as wasting the grog seems sacrilege to me ?
  18. 3 months in and nearly finished....
  19. jesus wept they've wrecked it! How the hell have they trashed the front forks like that without buckling the wheel? It sounds horrid as it's great to get something back, but this one I think will be a money pit and not worth it.
  20. Fn19 Just bought 1. Incredible gun. That stock is lovely. Some very nice parts on it e.g custom bolt, charging lever and trigger. Shame I just got mine or I would of put a offer in
  21. did my cbt on a van van in haverfordwest. Slow and sure bike but handled well. I did look a burk tho as I'm 6'6" and they are small. My advice - 1 - as stated watch for cars, but more importantly other bikers overtaking you (mainly in traffic). So many ***** out there that think it's a slamom road race, check over your shoulder every time you move. Hammer it into yourself as that's a big one for your test when you do it. 2 - buy boots from a shop as if you have big/fat feet, they will kill after walking just for a few minutes. I got mine on ebay and they hurt after 20 mins walking. Lesson learnt. 3 - Buy a lid that's got the gold star on the back and don't trust secondhand. Mine was £80 new. I bought a cheap lift up lid for £60 and am glad I never came off wearing it. Go on sharp.gov or Google sharp helmet testing. Nearly all lids are on there. Don't need to spend £400 on a shoei if you ain't on a race track. 4 - Get saving! Nothing feels like the freedom you get from a bike and youll soon want something a little bigger. Stay safe
  22. That's all I use and have ever done. Pick up a set of eBay for less than a tenner. One has been in for over 2 years as it happened to a brand new tyre. If it's bigger than a m10 bolt, go from the inside, anything smaller I always do from the outside.
  23. Not much use to you now, but I was at Salisbury sporting auction on Saturday and both came up. Mod 45 went for £50 and hw 85 for £85. Both were alright - I was bidding on them. Only really saying as there are bargains about.
