  1. All I can say is good luck with it, just wait til he comes across a big pile of fox poo. He will roll it on like a chav applying cheap deodorant. Im sure there's more people on here who have experienced a drive home with their dog covered in it!
  2. Funny you say that, my mum loves a salmon sandwich made form John wests finest but she will not touch fresh cooked salmon. I'm more a fan of the thin sliced smoked salmon variety myself
  3. Being from Northern Ireland, this province is proof that taking lawfully owned guns away wouldn't work at all. For years over here you would have found it exceptionally difficult to obtain a rifle over and above an air rifle or a double barrel shotgun. Yet the wooly face brigades still managed to import kalashnikovs and armalite rifles. Now we are the only part of the UK where you can still own and possess at home a standard non modified 9mm handgun, with the only caveat that it is for range use only at a club you belong to.
  4. I wonder did he think it looked suspect as the spacing between the characters was done in a way that suggested a word rather than look like a normal reg number. A lot of the local boy racers round me faff about with their number plates and Ive heard them gurning about getting fines from the local fuzz.
  5. Sounds like its not getting to complete its re gen cycle properly. I would get the filter manually cleaned out or get a forced re gen done at a mechanics. With some vehicles the forces re gen just uses the computer to hold it at a few thousand RPM for a certain amount of time, I'm unsure how the newer Audi systems work. Manually cleaning can be as simple as taking the filter off and back washing it with a house til the water runs clear
  6. Theres an old battle site from the 1798 United Irish men rebellion less than a mile from me, my dad has dug up a huge amount of shot from the English Brown Bess muskets and grapeshot from the cannons.
  7. If you are wanting to get away from it without any aggro I would maybe stump up the £50 and then let any friendship there die off. That seems a bit under hand how he done that as that could have been a payment for anything and he's now getting half his cash back at your expense. And for pigeon shooting? I've never heard of anyone paying to go pigeon shooting unless it's been via using a "guide"
  8. Love fresh new spuds, can't beat a bag of earlies. Any time we get them ill have them boiled with skins on, some sauted scallions and either thick cut bacon or a few slabs of corned beef. And of course an unholy amount of butter over the spuds.
  9. Screw into wood can be bodged with a wee bit of matchstick but to be honest you would be best drilling it out and gluing a dowel in and redrilling the hole
  10. Can't see why not, they want you to take the bolt out and store it separately anyway, so long as the parts are in the cabinet minus the bolt they shouldn't have anything to gurn about
  11. This is the one I use https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BFWY9G5J?ref_=cm_sw_r_apan_dp_D1D78GZ9FCPCDS5VQNC1 Fairly easy to set up but if you want video recording you need to order a memory card with it, all runs through the app you download on your phone
  12. My old cocker spaniel used to love the big sausage chubb things that you get in Lidl. She went well on it after she got too fussy with the dry foods
  13. Is it barrelled? I've seen something like that with a flat piece and short barrel, the flat piece holds the barrel at the correct angle for euthanizing an animal like a horse etc
  14. Did you buy it new or 2nd hand? I know people with freelander 1s used to remove the propshaft and turn them 2 wheel drive to improve road going MPG
  15. I'm a little late to the party on this one but regarding the reasoning, I came across this when I added a 3rd 12bore...the 2nd o/u. It was my father in laws gun and he had his licence revoked due to a doctor changing the wording of his DLA when it changed to PIPs. I spoke to my FEO and explained that it was sentimental to the family and they basically said "make up a reason for having it" which i duly did but when my licence arrived all 3 shotguns come up with the exact same reasoning for owning them. A lot depends on individuals in the branch.
  16. This guys take on the woke culture and climate change is pretty much bang on
  17. Thats lovely that, quite elegant

Don't self diagnose online, most of what you see is for the American audience and will tell you that you have 2 months to live. Dr google is not your friend. Consult your GP asap
  19. Welcome! Don't worry about being on the tight side... there's men from Yorkshire and Norfolk on the forum! I don't shoot with anything special, my most expensive shotgun was 200quid
  20. Looks lovely, I just finished a lovely sirloin from my local butcher with 2 cheese n potato gratins from iceland with some tobacco onions and pepper sauce. Didnt have much veg in this weekend sadly or I would have loved a big pile of cabbage
  21. Thats some lovely shooting, I don't do air rifle myself, just haven't got round to getting one, its just a pain as in NI they are held on firearms licence like everything else. Do you use a mini chrono when setting up and pellet testing? Fella I work with is mad into his airguns and has all the gadgets going. I've managed 1" groups with my remington semi auto 22lr out to about 70ish yards on a calm day. One of my favourites was the cartridge challenge, my mate cut the shot out of 2 12bore cartridges and set them up at 50yards, I hit the primer cap on the 3rd shot...with the iron sights 😎.... I was doing club target rifle stuff at the time. Would love an airgun for round the mates barns, don't want to zap holes through the sides 😆

Don't google "black on black".... you will get the shock of your life! Police officers in the US have had a bad rap for a long time as the racism card was such an easy one to play. Really wouldn't want to see this swept under the carpet just because of the officers skin colour.
  23. Oh what a lovely pair you have 😆 Welcome to the forum, what sort of ranges do you hit the bunnies at? I took my daughter to a spot where there's some lovely Irish brown hares about purely to see if we could sneak up close before they took off, I don't shoot the hares, my mate who owns the ground wants to help build the numbers up.
  24. Imagine a pheasant coming down and running off and instead of picker ups coming after it hears the cry "fix bayonets!!"
  25. After pulling the trigger how long does it take for the smoke to clear to see if you hit the bird or not?? 😄 That looks brilliant fun though, there's really something about that black powder boom!
