castletyne
Got to be a Henry I have a carpet shop and its the only vacuum we recomend quite a popular insurance claim is from damaged stair carpet where someone has been hoovering the stairs using the pipe but the brush on the bottom was still spining and melted the carpet
aris
Sebo. Had ours for over 10 years, never given any problems. Yes, you have to buy bags - they are not expensive and less hassle. Ours works on both wood and carpet - the rotating brush head automatically goes up/down depending on the height of what you are vacuuming. It is one of those classic designs which never change - so spares are readily available if you ever need them (we've never had any issues to require spares). 88b
I've just consulted my personnel domestic appliance murderer and they claim Dysons upright, although they didn't manage to break the metal Henry. You can or could get an electric brush attachment for the Henry
Imperfection
Dyson if you have hairy pets.
krugerandsmith
Dyson if you have hairy pets. After Dyson closed his factory making hundreds redundant and moved to Eastern Europe and the far East ...... I would rather have a ten inch rusty nail dipped In curare and driven through my scrotum with a 14LB sledge hammer before I would buy one of his products. Muddy Funker
Ask yourself what do professional cleaning companies predominantly use? The answer is Henry. Yep, we had a couple at work for cleaning our vehicles and these things were knocked about treated pretty badly and they just carry on working. When I first saw them I thought they were a bit of a joke due to the face ect, not any more. We recently picked one up as new for £35 on friday ads, brilliant bit of kit for the home. Madness
Got a £35 special from asda, sucks like a whore earning her next fix and you need ear plugs in when it's switched on..................does drown out me singing "i want to break free" though when i'm using it. njc110381
Another vote for Henry - we've got one and it's great. A mate of mine has just got a pink one which may suit you better?
Cosd
I have a Henry and recently bought a Dyson DC39 because the wife didn't like the way the Henry didn't fluff up the carpet. The Henry has been through hell and back and still sucks like good'n. Must admit, the Dyson is very good, the Henry has been demoted to car cleaning duties only. The Croc
We have got one of these, http://www.gtechonline.co.uk/floor-care/cordless-vacuum-cleaners.html Very light, and knocks all the others into the proverbial for cleaning power, had a dyson before,
Twistedsanity
The new handheld dyson is superb if you have a spare £250 knocking about , the reason people use Henry's isn't because they are good, its because they are cheap, basic and hard wearing and too tight to buy a real vacuum
shoot and be safe
Get a Henry Best hoover I have tried to destroy and failed. Great value for money, less than a £100. Henry all the way.
figgy
Get a kirby cleaner, big shiny aluminium thing with a head light. Can cut your hair and spray your car. Apparently they vibrate and beat your carpets to remove all the dust. Very expensive but last a long long time. In Laws had one years ago, only got rid as it got to heavy for them. Wife's has wrecked loads of vacuume cleaners and paintwork over the years but the little Henry has lasted longer and does what's needed. Expensive Hoover pet one has been in the garage for two years after the last time she broke it.we even took out extended cover untill they refused to mend it any more Figgy Edited August 29, 2013 by figgy
