TaxiDriver
Snoring if really bad can be a sign of a serious debillitating condition called 'Obstructive Sleep Aponea' apart from keeping you awake and scaring animals and small children, Symptomes can include Daytime Sleepyness, Headaches on Waking, elevated blood Pressure, increased risk of stroke, Transient Aschemic attacks(mini strokes), Sore throat If she has any of the above she should seek a referal to a sleep clinic I used to snore at a measured 128db and stop breathing on average 600 times in 7hr period in my instance, treatment with CPAP machine is the answer

The Mighty Prawn
Finally a subject I have knowledge on! I did research on this years ago and tested various solutions under lab conditions, best treatments are those stickers across the bridge of the nose that footballers wear, or the old golfball in the back of the PJ's to stop sleeping on back! Def worth a doctor visit though as like posted previously there could be risk of sleep apnoea which can lead to daytime micro sleeps where you wont know you've fallen asleep - one of our subjects had done this driving an HGV and caused a massive motorway pileup he cant remember starting! Also not casting aspersions but is often a sign of being overweight, alcohol can also make snoring worse!
mudpatten
Use a firm pillow. When the struggling stops, so will the snoring.

Tam
True story this... I went and got my cabinet keys to get one of my guns out late one night , as I went in the bedroom she was snoring her head off so I crept past her jingling the keys and fiddled with the cabinet locks got my gun out and turned around , well the look I had from her was a picture  I don't reckon she'll sleep that heavy again She was probably wondering who/what you were going to shoot at - if she had seen you shooting your Perratzi or whatever you call it  :ninja:

The Lawn Ranger
Some of your solutions are too good lol.. On a more serious note one of my lovely wee labs was snoring earlier....I re-assured her that everything was ok and daddy was taking her out duck shooting tomorrow...ahhhh silence & appreciation lol
Scully
My other half snores like she is trying to suck the curtains off the windows. In the past she has tried those nasal strips, oils, balms and all sorts of stuff, none of which has worked. What used to make her jump out of her skin and stop it was my big toe along the sole of her foot; of course this also means you too are awake. I now sleep in another room. Bliss! timmytree
You could always try the "wet finger in bum crack" trick, that stops them! The other alternative is to take a small jug of water to bed, when the old girl starts snoring get your jug poised over her face, just as she takes a breath pour as much water in her trap as you can. You'll get an effect like vesuvius, she'll erupt from the bed like a wounded hippo having just dreamt that she's drowning. She won't sleep for the rest of the night, you'll get some peace and quiet. Don't forget to remind her to dry the bedding !
jasper3
if the good lady drinks..cut her drink limit down, this can cause heavy snoring…..if!!! she does not drink, just whisper in her ear "Hubby will be taking You out duck shooting tomorrow… if it works for the lab, there is no reason why it shouldn't work on the wife.. Yellow Bear
On a serious note - does she stop breathing just before the snore? - it may be what you wish - but, joking aside, there again it might be a sign of something more serious If this is the case get her to the Doc.
