1fieldy1
I would like to buy a .22 LR but would like to know the ones to keep away from and the ones to concider. It would be for fieldwork zeoed at 60yds. for rabbit bopping, I am concidering an auto (slr) because I can be confronted with 20 odd rabbits at a time. Advice please. Les*1066
CZ 452 bolt action, or a Ruger 10/22 semi auto. They are the two main choices. There are plenty of others, so as already stated, do a search and you'll get an idea of what other people are using.

spandit
I wish I'd not bought a S/A. After hitting one, the other 19 won't stay around for long.
Dunkield
Despite the numbers on the ground a semi auto won't give you anything a bolt action won't. As spandit says, if you think will line up waiting to be shot, they won't Get a CZ 452 with a 16" barrel if you can, there is a reason they are incredibly popular, they just work. spandit
A semi auto is fun but the ammo gets expensive
wymberley
As you don't mention a budget, just get the best and have done with it - Anschutz 1417.

spandit
I've got an Anschutz 525 and despite not being that popular, it was cheap, is accurate & if you hit the bunnies in the head, they don't get up again

srspower
If you are tempted by a 1022 pay a bit more and get a rimfire magic, you will get bolt action accuracy then.

Uncle Albert
I've got a CZ455 with a Sak mod on it and not many bunnies get away from it. Bolt action of course as they are more accurate. Very quiet, very reliable and a joy to shoot.
