Wiggum
Just a few photos from a trip up Scafell pike today unfortunately not as picturesque as my visit to Snowdon as the weather was against us but at least we avoided the forecast rain. Up and back down if 4 hrs which we were happy with.

Wiggum
Not in the true sense we did Ben Nevis in August, Snowdon twice in September and scafell today.

figgy
Well done decent time four hours. Hate the feeling of being in a Tupperware bowl effect of low cloud. Figgy
Wiggum
We've done Ben Nevis 4 times now think my favourite has to be Snowdon but that may have something to do with the cream scones in the visitors centre at the top. loriusgarrulus
Do they still have the catering hut half way up Snowden that did the home made lemonade. It was near the path by the railway.
Wiggum
Well done decent time four hours. Hate the feeling of being in a Tupperware bowl effect of low cloud. I know what you mean the trig points were quite had to see today and with 60/70 mph wind gusts on the summit it was quite challenging just to stay on your feet. Fisheruk
I did all three in 1968 and 1969 twice in 24hrs, on one of the trips we started Nevis in a blizzard and had a white out on the top. - interesting None of this breathable Gortex stuff then. mel b3
We did the three peaks challenge four years ago, 22hrs 48mins, done scafell a few times and found it the toughest by far, the last time i reached the summit was a 2am ish and its much easier in the dark when you cant see how steep it is lol. Im too fat to climb the stairs now lol Ps, those jumbo sausage rolls in the cafe on top of snowdon are well worth the climb, i once ate six of them as quickly as the young lady could pass them across the counter and i felt sick all the way back down lol. jgguinness
Nice one, decent time too. I did it a couple of years back with some lads. Absolutely lashed it down for the full duration. Waterproofs were worse than useless, not one dry layer of clothing on us...thought we were going to be on the 10o'clock news!
Lord Geordie
Did you do the horse shoe trail? Or just Grisdale pike? The horse shoe is fab.
