Beagle boy
Evening all, does anyone know of any company that make synthetic o/u shotguns? I looked around but I've only found semis and pump actions Cheers rob
Gunman
When you say synthetic do you mean a synthetic stock or a gun thats not real?If the latter I think Ruger did one .

Scully
Browning Cynergy is an OU. Mate had the Black Ice model a few years ago; very pointable. Ruger also do a synthetic Red Label.
Albert 888
I read a review on the hatsan and on paper looked quite good.
Exudate
I have to admit, I'm a synthetic stock convert. You just don't worry about it in the field!
Beagle boy
I was just thinking of using it as a hide gun but I may go down the dreaded semi auto route, I can't see to find a stockist of the hatsan All my rifles are synthetic but not my shotgun If I could find one cheap enough I'd be tempted Cheers rob
MGMPEST
Browning cynergy black ice, i had the wood stocked version a few years ago, there a great shotgun in my opinion, good weight to it for sporting clays, i had the 32" barrels with extended chokes so was far too long for pigeon shooting, hence why i got a maxus 28". On the pigeons it's a much better choice gun in my view.
Beagle boy
Ones i used have all been older some struggled with lighter loads and also I'm left handed so have to pay £50 on average more for the ejecting carts to not to hit my face. I used a left handed camo armsan a while back that was ok and I could do with a steel proofed gun of my really Cheers rob
Cosd
How light do you want to go? I've use 7/28 and is no issue and I wouldn't want to go lighter in the field. Some semis are fussy with shorter carts so just keep to 67+mm.
Beagle boy
Yeah good point I wouldn't go any lighter than 7s to be fair as its not a clay gun. Are the armsns a612 as shop near me does left hookers for £425 Cheers rob All my pigeon carts are 65mm aswell lol

Minimum 50% more fire power. I think my shot count went up 50% with the same number of birds lol when you miss you can miss three times rather than twice. My A300 and my previous hatsan had no problems with 65mm shells, although I buy 70mm now by choice. For me the only down side is finding the empties. I regret all the wooden stocks I have with the exception of my S pigeon which I only use for game.

MGM That makes no sense. A 28" semi is pretty much the equivalent of having a 32" barrelled o/u. Both of which are suitable for pigeon shooting. Davyo
All mine where synthetic, rimmy,243 & a semi for the hide and roosting. Semi for the hide has benefit of not having to break the barrel in a confined hide, and just slide another up the chamber while hugged up against a tree in the roost.
