You can't enact retrospective legislation because you dont agree with, or like the result of the referendum, UK law wouldn't allow it!......the terms of this petition, if adopted into UK law would be for any future referendums...........so in future it would be more difficult to get an "In" result as it would to get an "out" Vote!

Seems that the bots and scripts that are adding names automatically are the result of a prank by 4chan, they've been bragging about it for the last 24 hours, might have known.

Only one source and I don't know how reputable they are, but they include screenshots that are pretty convincing.

In the latest of several dramatic plot twists concerning the EU referendum, it appears the person who set up the petition calling for a second referendum, which has amassed more than 3 million signatures, was actually a Leave campaigner who thought Remain was on course to win.

William Oliver Healey states on his Facebook page that he is standing for the right-wing nationalist political party the English Democrats in Leicestershire. He set up the petition on May 25 when he assumed Remain was on course to clinch the vote, according to his Facebook page.

Anyone got a link for the petition

Apparently Nichola Sturgeon has just announced that Holyrood could effectively stop the UK from leaving the EU by vetoing the move. Just flashed up on BBC website....think I read it right. :|

Works two ways! Lets veto her attempts to become an independent country if she wants to play that game!

It was a prank by 4chan. A load of automated scripts to sign up fake names to the petition

Yes, we know, as do parliament, which is why it is being investigated. Those remainers who are signing it, however, are deadly serious. This latest one is a prank also, the difference being that those who are signing it, are treating it as such.
