If you wish to sell the kit I would buy it if it fits the 455

Don't know if mine would fit the 455, but the new ones from rimfire magic do and they are only £13. It's where I got mine from, but a while back now.

I have just fitted a trigger kit from 'Rimfire magic' to my 452. At £15 posted , I thought 'why not ' , even though I was happy with it as it was.

I only fitted the middle weight spring , as the lightest was way too light for field work.

I have to admit , after putting 50 rounds through it this evening , its a vast improvement on the standard trigger. And I mean vast.

I need to get the barrel cut down to 14" , does anyone know where in the North West area?

Weihrauch HW60 j are a brilliant buy, match trigger as well as a slick well made bolt, proper metal mags and very very accurate

I have got three in different calibers and are all spot on

I also have ac. CZ 455 thumb hole are also bang on and very accurate, nice rifles and very reliable, although I find the bolt operation on the HW60 superior on build and operation

This.

The older BRNO .22 rifles are much nicer than the CZ stuff....better build quality.

Pick up a 2nd hand model 2 (or model 1) - dozens out there at well under £200; normally with scopes & moderators.

The model 2 I had for 30 years only went to free a slot for a model 1.

Yes, my choice aswell...... many moons ago I bought a Model 2 & have never looked back.

I wouldn't overlook the secondhand option, less money, which leaves more for a decent scope.

12 1/2" barrel on my 452 (although its a varmint) I couldn't ask for anything more functional and easy to shoot - only problem being it shoots the SK subs into silly small groups and they're no longer being made and my stock is rapidly diminishing

I have always had a soft spot for Finnfires though and would have loved one as they are so well made and ooze quality.

Had my 452 for about 15 years now and cannot think of a single negative. There are, clearly, nicer looking guns, guns with nicer triggers and prettier stocks but mine is purely a vermin tool and I have 100% faith in it's ability to work without a fuss and make a mockery of my technique by out classing me every time I shoot it - if the 452 was banned I would go for a HW60 but that's a whole heap more expensive and doesn't kill anything anymore dead.

IMO there's no advantage in having one on a rimfire. It's just heavier to carry round but zero difference in accuracy. I see the point if you are target shooting with a centrefire as the barrel doesn't heat up as quickly.

The stock material is also personal choice. I have some synthetic stock guns and some wood. I prefer synthetic just because I don't have to worry about knocking or scratching it. The only laminate one I've seen was quite heavy and again, I don't see the point if it's going to be a rabbit gun.

I struggle to see why anyone would "NEED" anything more than a CZ for rabbits.

You can spend double or more, and get no increase in accuracy, reliability or repeatability!

:good:

I would agree. with the right ammo, the cz will hold a great group at 100m, it's light (I have the style in synthetic) and I like the look of the black stock / off grey barrel.

What more do you need?

A fully-auto 50mm cannon. But seeing as that's not legal...

CZ all the way!

Some years back, when my licence was issued I was surprised to see that I was entitled to a 2.2"...

Not owning a battleship, had to get it amended to what it was meant to be :(
