WinchesterDave
Well having just spent a whole week on the simply beautiful Isle of Mull, my camera has earned a rest! What a truly wonderful place to be. Landscapes and wildlife are in mass over there and I had a great time. Even more so having seen dolphins off the coast at Grass Point and White tailed Eagles on the boat trip!!!! What amazingly wonderful creatures they are! On the last day we saw two pairs of Golden Eagles flying right above us too. Anyone who hasn't been, go. It was hard to pick a selection of images but here are a handful - I hope they do the island and it's wildlife the justice they deserve... These are the White Tailed Eagles commonly known as Sea Eagles and the seals -it was a glorious day, we couldn't have had better and it was made better by the fact we had two passes of the eagle, saw two dolphins jump out next to the boat, loads of seals, and ganetts too; simply spectacular. I was made up to get this shot on the journey home These seals were just chilling in the sun on the way out - unexpected great sight to see These are two of the Golden Eagles we saw on the 'Ardmore' Forestry Commision walk we did - one of which was stooping with its wings fully back vertically down it to one from the other pair! I'm presuming the darker one is a juvenile? Be good to clarify that one During the week we saw a lot of Red deer, mainly Doe but we did see three stags including (I presume) this younger one too as well as two Fallows. We had mixed weather with two simply spectacular days, here are a few of my landscapes and a Highland Cow (of which there were many in Mull). My girlfriend and I made use of her new Lee Filter set up to get some long exposures in the day! This was one of mine I do apologise for the amount of images, I couldn't decide which ones to upload but I hope you have enjoyed viewing them as much as I enjoyed my time in Mull. All the best, David Edited August 28, 2016 by WinchesterDave

Footu
Looks fantastic. Can you recommend a cottage that allows dogs?
JDog
You were either clever or fortunate to get such splendid images of the Sea eagle.

WinchesterDave
All, thank you for viewing and commenting, greatly appreciated! JDog, fortunate, yes, very! Clever... Depends what counts as clever? I know how to set up the camera to capture such images if that counts lol Footu - we stayed in a cottage with our dog - Kellan Mill Lodge on the banks of Loch Na Keal lovely cottage! However, when we booked dogs were allowed to stay, but during the long wait to go something must have happened and all dogs were banned but as we booked before the ban we could still take ours and they've said 'good' dogs can come back and stay - I would certainly recommend the place as its been recently re done and it's modern and clean with spectacular veiws across the Loch to Ben More! My advice would be ring them up. Ben More are the two shots Four and five from the bottom We booked through a company called 'Isle of Mull Cottages' so if you have no luck with Kellan Mill Lodge, look for more on their website, I'd imagine there to be a lot of dog friendly cottages. Hope this helps, it's well worth the trip up - I have honestly never seen so many Herons in my life!!! Adge Cutler
Brilliant..Thanks for sharing... I showed them to my wife and she was in tears...she is from Oban and lived on the island for 5 years in her late teens. I was up there last year on a bird watching and fishing holiday as part of my retirement wind down. The White Tails were incredible birds, we even had one zoom in to one of the fishing boats on one occasion for a free lunch..it came in like a excocet missile and beat the gulls to a large Mackerel only about 20feet from the boat.. even the big great black backs don't mess with the white tails We also got some good photos from the C-M ferry of a couple of birds. Planning a trip in 2017 to Mull, Skye and Harris 2 weeks on each...cant wait. Thanks again..top job.
