team tractor
I need some advice please on work boots. I've noticed my feet are gradually hurting more and more wearing steel toe caps. I've tried all different brands but the pain is getting worse. My middle toes stick out wide plus I wear insoles Help please. 18 years of this is taking its tole on my feet
Yellow Bear
You can get "metal free safety boots" just google - I had some with composite toes that eased this very problem (Titan IIRC)

Cant hit them all
My feet ache so much but since getting some redbacks safety boots my feet are only half as bad and I avarage walk 12miles a day at work at 85 pound and they have lasted 12months and still ok. My other work boots are by Haix expensive but my feet are worth the 200 pound to not be in pain
digger
I wear Caterpillar boots. Holton I think they are called. Very comfortable. I always buy a size too big so thick socks in the winter and in the summer an insole.
winnie&bezza
Can never understand people who skimp on work boots and say 'they are only for work'. You spend most your life in them so might as well get a comfortable solid boot.

I spend 12-18 hours a day in mine but maybe that's the problem I've tried most makes now except the composite caps as I'd never heard of them. I manage 3 months out of my boots on average

bluesj
What do you wear now? I'm in an industry where we lift heavy items Now the worst that is Likely to happen is a horse or cow stand on my foot, but when i was doing heavy work i kept a pair of steel toe boots for the times when things could go wrong but most of the time i would wear lowa cold weather boots. Crawling around under tractors etc caused the caps to rub the tops of my toes causing the skin to thicken and the crack ending up with infected feet, Not nice! wisdom
Used to wear work clogs.Very warm in winter cool in summer toe protection was brass on the outside round the toe and external cap. There looked like work boots but had an apple wood sole.
Cant hit them all
Don't go for like of branded stuff like of delwat cat and so on there just bought in stuff put there names on and flogged. Buy a brand or something the either just do boots or safety gear as you will get a better product.

Big Mat
Redbacks, after trashing cheaper pairs of boots in 3 months, these have lasted ten months and are incredibly comfortable, as comfortable as any trainers I've ever owned. Wear them 70+ hours at work and outside work
team tractor
As you can see I have manky toes that are longer than my big toe when straight lol. I know this and having drop foot isn't helping. Oh and ignore the scars on both legs Edited September 20, 2016 by team tractor

Danger-Mouse
Cat boots are great. I had a pair that I wore just for daily wear, very, very comfortable. I have some trainers by Groundwork that are pretty comfortable. I bought them because I was walking 10-12 miles a day around a warehouse and boots were killing my feet.
