Isaidduck
Then surely it is either a extended choke or the wrong choke ??

Gordon R
Get a choke that fits flush. Chokes can be shortened, but why would anyone bother with so many available. Sell the wrong choke and buy another - they are cheap enough.

kennett
As said, are you sure it isn't an extended choke (designed to sit longer than the barrel) or the wrong choke, inv+ in a invector barrel for example ?
bostonmick
Chokes are precision engineered.and should not be hacked about to make fit a barrel they were not designed to go in.this is one aspect of our sport that does concern me greatly.that there are some who think because they have a couple of screwdrivers they are Gunsmiths.and proceed to try and undertake all manner of repairs and adjustments to guns.its usually the innocent bystander that will suffer the consequences of this practice.as said previously buy the correct fitment and be as safe as possible. Guest
It's because I can not find a original for my Webley 820 .it is the choke with the thread at the top of the choke was as my other 820 Has the thread at the bottom .2guns same different choke fittings .thats why I am asking if one can be made to fit or shall I just cut 2inch of the barrel

HDAV
The webley is a Turkish gun branded webley the chokes are most certainly used in other guns Akkar? Take it to a gunsmith and I am sure they will be able to find a suitable choke that fits without resulting to a hacksaw!

If that clue is a red herring, then you could speak to Teague who might just be able to make what you want, or - probably a cheaper option - simply ream out the end of the barrels and permanently install fixed chokes of your choice. Westley
I do presume that you are having a bit of a 'Christmas Joke here ? But, just in case you are being serious, take the damned thing to a GUNSMITH, you do NOT know what damage you may have already done. Having seen barrels burst before, you will be very lucky if you escape injury. Worse still, if someone is near you when it blows, THEY could be seriously injured too. It is a LETHAL weapon that you are messing around with.
Junkyard Dog
Its easy to sort.... Warm the barrels till they are glowing with the gas axe, hammer new choke in, tig it in, then flush it down with the sthil saw.... Or just take it to a proper smith before someone gets hurt...........
