Gordon R
I have enjoyed the previous series and was looking forward to the latest. Bit patchy, with a few laughs until the last episode last night. Possibly the most ill-conceived plot yet. A truly awful ending. Gutted. walshie
I think the whole of this series was terrible. At least the first series were updated Conan Doyle stories. This latest series has had nothing to do with Sherlock Holmes except the characters' names. Could just as easily have been the x-files. Fuji Shooter
I battled through the last couple of episodes of this series but I have to say they are becoming too heavy going. Mind you I am finding Doctor Who the same. Must be my age.
TIGHTCHOKE
Like you I have enjoyed the previous series of Sherlock, but I did not bother to watch any of the latest version as I feel it has now moved away from its origins too much. Gordon R
Episode 2 was allegedly lifted from Conan Doyle's "The Dying Man".
panoma1
For me, a case of "the kings new clothes"........people saying how fantastic Sherlock is.......Its beyond me!.....Unless there is some cerebral higher meaning to the plot that's perhaps over my head? Gordon R
I watched the Prisoner when it was originally shown and every re-run of the series. Brilliant, way ahead of its time and thought provoking, but spoiled by a hastily scripted, bizarre, final episode which seemed designed to alienate fans. This was worse. old man
Sadly I only lasted 10 minutes of episode 1. IMHO utter carp. Bet it will score highly in the ratings though? Edited January 16, 2017 by old man
39TDS
Managed 2/3rds of last night and decided it was carp and didn't want to watch it any more. Turned over.
Tedly47
I must admit this season wasn't as good as the others however it's one of the only programs that both the good lady and i enjoy watching together, so for that it still gets my vote.... although last nights wasn't "clever" just a bit over the top... four-wheel-drive
I loved the last series but this one I found very disappointing I saw the one was it on new years day but found it just to confusing I could not work out who was really dead and who was not I gave up in the end I do like programs that make you think but this was just stupid so I did not bother to look at the next two episodes. I must admit that I think his sherlock was the best I did like the new one but it was not proper sherlock it is more like doctor who. Mungler
We gave up on Sherlock - absolute self indulgent lovey clap trap. Just dreadful. We watched Endevour (young Morse) on ITV but alas Sunday's episode was slow and not much cop.
browning123
Watched it last night for about 30 mins, then turned it off - absolute ****!
