Buddy london
Now that harvest is in full swing with all the winter barley ready and farmers busy on the rape I was expecting more reports of day outs and reports of big bags with first stubbles. However it all seems very quite.. people too busy shooting to post on this forum?? Im out tomorrow while weather looking dry

Me matt
Will be looking forward to your report & pictures 👍 Peas where I shoot, been great sport all year until harvesting started locally.
motty
Having stubbles to shoot doesn't mean good bags of pigeons will be shot. I have loads of barley stubbles to go at, but I wouldn't bother setting up on most of them. I have just a couple of rape stubbles to shoot at present, and that is where my first decent bag of the harvest will more than likely come from. getthegat
Busy Moving my garage workshop to new site; at least a week of humping metal and vehicles and sorting security etc. Already missing a gun in my hand. Hoping there may be some stragglers in a couple of weeks. Stubble only makes for easier pick ups, which is no bad thing, but no necessarily big bags,.Good luck everyone
JDog
There are some areas with no stubbles as yet, the Lincolnshire Wolds being one of them and I doubt if there has been any harvesting in the far north.

oowee
Shooting almost every day here. Birds over stubble's, standing barley, and rooks in the farmyard. In the last two weeks over 300 birds, 2 fox 2 rabbits and 2 roe. Waiting for a quiet spell
JDog
ginger cat says its started in north links.[/quote North Lincs is not necessarily the Wolds.I know the fields that GingerCat is referring to and they are nowhere near the Wolds. aga man
No harvesting here as yet, the weekend was looking likely but Saturday's forecast might put pay to that! Plenty of pigeons on return lines in the evening which I believe are feeding on standing rape.

GingerCat
Jdog is quite right. These two fields aren't in the wolds. On a clear day you can see the wolds from them and I'm 18 miles from Grimsby so its defo north lincs. Days away is all . In fact it's so close I'm gonna stock up on carts tomorrow. Out tonight for fox and roe and blanked. Its all going down hill. Out in the morning with Bumpy on the barley and have to be up at stupid oclock. Then sat night a fox special with dogs and nets around a barn
