WelshAndy
Here's a photo of a very happy boy! Shot his first pintail last night over decoys, using his 12 bore side by side (kindly given to him by pigeon watch member E.W) with eley bismuth cartridges. marsh man
Ryan must be one very happy young man and congratulations on his special achievement , there is just something about bagging your first Pintail that stick in your memory bank forever, mine was around 50 years ago , a drake in full plumage , gave it a shot and it planed well out into the estuary , at that time I was dog less and no way was I going to lose my first Pintail so I borrowed some ones punt that was tied up to one of the houseboats , with the oars locked away I had to use one of the floor boards to paddle out to where it had drifted , when I got back I used the same knot to fasten it and as far as I know the owner was none the wiser , but I am sure he would have said , go on boi , take my ole punt and go you and *** it
AberFowl
Still waiting for a chance to bag a pintail, 11 years of many hours on the shore and I have yet to get my chance. It will come and I am sure I will be smiling as in this picture. Congratulations young man may it be the first of many!
