oldypigeonpopper
hello, i think that is cheap, 22 acres of ground, shop/ clays/air rifles/rifles/tuition and shop/ etc together with a good manager and staff, not forgeting yummies cafe Edited May 14, 2018 by oldypigeonpopper
Lord v
That's a good buy for £1m.
figgy
Only a good buy so long as you manage to keep an agreement to allow fall of shot on surrounding land. 22 acres isn't that big to contain it all.

The Mighty Prawn
Plus you never know what's happening locally with the 'bang police' that like to complain about the noise and there may well be a golden opportunity for them to shut it down under new ownership
bornfree
I used to shoot there when they held reg sporting. It used to be a very good round.
Snoozer
Packed on the weekends, I'd use it more often if they opened Mondays when I'm not in work. Maybe new owners will open 7 days

There is a shot travel list somewhere on pigeon watch. Tells you how far shot sizes will travel.

Tells you how far shot sizes will travel. This and your earlier post are spot on. I was asked to build a range on an existing MoD range. As this was for recreational use only, all projectiles had to remain within the range boundary unlike the formal Service use. From memory, the CPSA spec is a safety distance of 300 yards with No 6 maximum shot size. The range was circa 350 by 500 yards which gives 36 acres and I struggled. If a neighbour pulls the plug and you''re left with just 22 acres you're going to have a problem right enough.
