figgy
Proper old riveted steel bridges just seem to last years. Even when they rot through rarely do they ever collapse, over engineered. Bit hairy if the wind picks up
Stonepark
Banardos in conjunction with Network rail have a limited 2 weekend event to see from top of Fife Cantilever as bridge is being worked on during week but hoist is available at weekend. Went up old road bridge 2 years ago and felt like you were on a ship and needing to splay your feet for stability. Rail bridge feels rock solid underfoot, even when trains were passung beneath. I hate rides tho Im similar; heights don’t bother me but I don’t like free standing ladders, which isn’t too convenient given what I do for a living. 😳

As Walker 570 says, it’s not the fall, it’s that sudden stop when you’ve finished falling, that does the damage. Its the temptation to step off the edge which frightens me. 😳
