Word on the 'street' is May will announce her resignation tonight.
I sort of feel a bit sorry for her, despite her incompetence, but she really has to go.
Hopefully her replacement will steer the ship with a better hand.

You had female correct but not

Mrs May.

Having said that, twenty minutes to go.

The results of tomorrow's elections might well turn a trickle into a flood. Roll on Friday.

I think the results are published on Sunday to even things out over the whole of Europe.

Huh, Typical EU obfuscation where they can tweak a bit here and there to better manage an overall results then, a bit like washing the car and taking a photo of it three days later after all sorts of stuff drops on it.

I can imagine 'they' are worried some sheep will follow what they perceive to be a winning vote - but it smacks of allowing time to fettle results IMO.

Just a thought... If mainly euro sceptic parties win an overwhelming majority of seats in the EU Parliament, would it be worth staying in? If the ship can be steered onto a new, less hand wringingly oooman rights direction they could re-imagine the whole project from the ground up.

Great - except the parliament has no power, it's just an illusion of democracy.

Spot on, no one really believes that even in the unlikely event of a majority of Eurosceptics in the EU parliament, the direction of the bloc would change.
The parliament is there for show, and nothing more.

But could they block and frustrate until the bloc has no other choice than to change?

Not really, all the bloc has to do is not push anything through for a while.
The commission has a long history of simply doing what it wants, and the parliament can only ratify new things, it cannot propose a single thing.

Look at for example the way our A50 extensions were handled, 27 unanimous votes , twice, really ?
I cant prove it, but I dont believe there was a vote, because I dont believe it would have been successful, plus the rhetoric coming out of Brussels gave a yay to to it before we had even asked them !
So to think the MEPs could somehow hold Junker et al hostage is not realistic, they would just circumvent the parliament somehow, maybe dissolve them using some sub clause within one of their treaties, I would put NOTHING past them.
They have plenty of history on doing stuff like this.

See this earlier, it's a complete and utter disgrace. How can anyone think this is acceptable is beyond me. I took part in a poll by the money saving expert guy, Martin Lewis and it finished 54% think it is acceptable to do this! What sort of world do we live in where people think the use of intimidation and violence is an acceptable means to express your political will or more to the point try to suppress others political will.

Didn't see the bit about acid just the veteran that was assaulted for supporting a different political party.

I'd prefer acid but milkshakes will do for now I guess. Nigel Farage hit by milkshake during Newcastle walkabout Ruth Townsley's tweet about Farage Another tweet on her account in said: "I've decided that violence against the rich is entirely justified and it's time to start killing them. fella in the got it right."'

Sadly this is the way Corbyn's left wing "Momentum" movement think is the correct way to behave like previous "national socialist" organisations.
