billytheghillie
The ads are getting worse now, wish the Mods would do something.

As far as I am aware it has been turned down to minimum. I see some but not that many, certainly not enough to be a problem. In terms of alternative means for covering running costs (which is what the ads do, to keep the forum free to use), would some sort of paid, ad-free access be a more attractive option? Teal
I've made another adjustment, so will see if that makes a difference but to be honest earlier in the topic I already reduced it to minimum setting allowed on Google AdSense and I haven't touched it since. We sell products through the site, certificate wallets, gamebags, badges and car stickers. Which is one way to raise costs to cover running the site, but the other is advertisment income. It's not a huge amount of money and could look to moving to subscriptions if people were keen?

I’d seen that one but just wondered if anyone had a preferred blocker that they had used and recommended.
Flyboy1950
Must admit that the adds were starting to get quite intrusive. Downloaded for free, Ad blocker for Chrome and like magic, have all disapeared. Also stops ads on Flee bay etc FB
Demonic69
A few things on the forum changed a week or 2 ago. Ads, not having to click OK when marking a forum as read, quoting etc. They seem to be back to "normal" now, at least for me

bruno22rf
I don't think I could stand going on the internet without Adblock - glad it's working for you.
