I dectect around home on the farm. But there was a row of old derelict cottage, so had ago around them , and up it popped . I was over the moon . I did the last ever "Introduction to Artillery" Course at Larkhill that was done with the 25 Pounder. On the day that we did field firing we were told "Gentlemen this is the last ever course to be done with the 25 Pounder so you guys are going have to fire off seventy-six rounds between the twelve of you." So we did each position on the gun with six rounds in each position as we swapped around. The usual was one round in each position or some such. Gun, 4wd tractor and limber which I religiously put away in its box when I had finished terrorising the cat with it.
