Well done Simon only have a couple of magpies on the farm I pest control at and I can’t get close enough with my sub 12 .22 but have got a few that came near the carcass below with my scatter pipe .

the farmer had witnessed two seeing this lamb off that was then used to bring them back in !

you have to admire how clever they are

And Natural Resources Wales (NRW) have, in their 'wisdom'. banned the shooting/killing of Magpies and other Corvids!

I know Steve what a mess it will get down there and to be fair who knows what will happen up here in the future

These 'experts' haven't a clue what they are doing! 'They' should all be taken to see the carnage the Corvids cause to Ewe's/Lambs, or at least be shown graphic photo's of them. A female work colleague once asked me why I shoot 'Blackbirds' and 'pretty Magpies'. First of all, I explained that they were not 'blackbirds' and then tried to explain the reason why (when it was legal) I did this. It was only when I showed her some photo's of Ewe's/lambs with their eyes pecked out, and still alive, that she understood.

Good shooing by the way, and may it continue.
