JDog
Why take them from the shoot only to dump them? Whoever did it is seriously short on morals.
clangerman
unless I missed his proof this is is what actually happened only two words you need are fake and gullible!
enfieldspares
There's nothing to say that these were not either a) dropped by accident or b) bought at a market from a game dealer and then photographed. Why no exact grid reference of where found? Or am I missing something?
Scully
If this is genuine then those responsible have no one to blame but themselves if and when live quarry shooting is banned. It is as bad as raptor persecution in my opinion and should be just as illegal. Not that that would stop it of course, but it may prevent some from weirdly leaving them in what always seems to be plain sight, so those who oppose us can find them. 🤔
Bigbob
Stuff like this doesn't help our cause and gives more ammo against shooting , as said why take them if they weren't going to eat them ?.
Rim Fire
All sounds very dodgy to me you wouldn't tie three woodcock then take them to throw away Also they would get better coverage if they showed where they was dumped not just a piece of grass Edited January 22 by Rim Fire
Konor
Perhaps someone from a shoot in the area will remember 3 woodcock tied together for a specific gun and hopefully take him to task when the occasion arises for his thoughtless laziness, which rightly deserves punishment for bringing shooting into disrepute. Of course as the right to shoot game can be hotly contested by some it could be possible that the birds were planted to further their agenda. Miserableolgit
Very poor show if proved but found by the "Cheshire Against Blood Sports as they sabbed the Cheshire Forest Hunt" might indicate an ulterior motive for the finding.
hawkfanz
really distastefull if true,,,as a life long shooter im 74 now i will not even raise my gun to woodcock, grey patridge or hares ,,and yes i have done in the past but i dont want to do it anymore im more than happy sticking with corvids an pigeon.anything that puts us shooters in a bad light is not doing any of us any favours. Good shot?
Sabs will do anything to promote their agenda, until l see any proof therwise that is my opinion.
Westley
You only have to look at the numbers on here who have totally swallowed what they have been shown, without ANY evidence to back it up.........I rest my case !
Fellside
A distinct aroma of horse manure emanates from this one! It’s not a big news piece though - very limited impact if any. They will be trying to get some of the major news groups to pick it up - unlikely.
