First snow for a while

A surprise when I looked out a few minutes ago - and all is white!  Too dark yet for a photo.

Edit: Photos added after dog walk.  Unusual for us to get snow, especially this early.

Wet snow falling in the City of London. Not settling though as the ground was already wet from rain, which turned to sleet and then snow at around 7:50 am as I was walking from the station to the office.

Hello, It is here to John in the VOWH South Oxon, I cannot remember when if ever we had Snow in mid November, Not good for Farmers still drilling for next years crops,  Snow is all but gone now cold and wet 😒

Had a couple of inches overnight and is still snowing, been some time since we have had snow in November.

Must be Global warming.

Our weather at the moment is , cold , wet and miserable .

I can remember many , many years ago when we had heavy snow towards the end of November and that turned out the worst we had for the rest of the Winter , nowadays nothing come as a surprise and we are more than likely to get Snow at Easter than we are at Christmas , but we have still got plenty of time with this Winter having only just begun .  MM

We had about  150mm near the Slack but temp stayed sub zero until well past 1000 and only up to half a degree  now would rather have it crunchy than slushy.

At one time we used to get a bit more if we had a prolonged spell of below temperature's I think it was seven days , we might have to have a protest like the farmers , trouble is this cold weather would kill most of us off before any decisions were made

Hard frost then after the haze lifts we get a warm and sunny day till it gets cold again about 5pm

We never knew they even existed then , no computers and free delivery from Amazon , still I won't have to chop the woodwork from the household up nowadays as I haven't got a open fire , when the thaw came we were still above ground level and still here now to look back on it , as for the heated gilet , I will be waiting for the next update from your good self before I make a major investment

I looked out of the window this morning at 4am, saw the 3” of snow and I still drove a 180 mile round trip in a blizzard just for a couple of hours in a wood. I have a Land Rover.
