Our weather at the moment is , cold , wet and miserable .

I can remember many , many years ago when we had heavy snow towards the end of November and that turned out the worst we had for the rest of the Winter , nowadays nothing come as a surprise and we are more than likely to get Snow at Easter than we are at Christmas , but we have still got plenty of time with this Winter having only just begun .  MM

ThANK GOD FOR WINTER FUEL PAYMENT:yahoo:

At one time we used to get a bit more if we had a prolonged spell of below temperature's I think it was seven days , we might have to have a protest like the farmers , trouble is this cold weather would kill most of us off before any decisions were made

Worry not, the ones who removed the payment won't be going cold?

God help us if we get another Winter like 62 / 63 , we will end up with more people dying from the cold than we did during the pandemic , one consolation is we won't decompose for a while :drinks:

Which will be a blessing when the gravediggers come out on strike (cf Callaghan's Winter of Discontent)

We never knew they even existed then , no computers and free delivery from Amazon , still I won't have to chop the woodwork from the household up nowadays as I haven't got a open fire , when the thaw came we were still above ground level and still here now to look back on it , as for the heated gilet , I will be waiting for the next update from your good self before I make a major investment

Mrs looked out the window this morning and saw the 3" of snow, "we've got to go shopping today so we will have to take the bus" she whimpered, we have a Range Rover 🤨.

I looked out of the window this morning at 4am, saw the 3” of snow and I still drove a 180 mile round trip in a blizzard just for a couple of hours in a wood. I have a Land Rover.
