Dave at kelton Posted Sunday at 20:13 Report Share Posted Sunday at 20:13 I am not sure how many people have played with TSS. I thought it might interest a few to know about my recent pattern test in the 28 bore. I load 24 gms of No7 using a plastic wad lined with a split .410:case and propelled with Lil Gun powder. At the pattern plate yesterday using a Yildiz with half choke it printed 130 pellets on a 30” card at just under 50yds. This is just devastating for use on geese if you put them in the pattern…photo below. That is about 90% or more!

CumbrianWildfowler Posted Sunday at 21:15 Report Share Posted Sunday at 21:15 Dave, I load 25 grams of TSS 8 in the 28 bore at subsonic speeds and normal velocity. Both are incredible at geese and give a dense pattern. Even at the slower speed they are lethal. I think size 7 would be about optimal for the subsonic. I use mylar wrap. It is awesome stuff Dave, I used it to good effect in my 20g and now loading for the 410.

On a different note - would you say the pattern is skewed to the right…?

It is slightly but given density it doesn’t concern me ….unless of course the goose is flying right to left 😂
