This woman will bring our country to its knees..........

There is nothing worse than a person promoted beyond their ability.

She should have stayed as Shadow Chancellor where she could have coasted along in opposition.

Doing nothing except making negative comments and pretending she understood what she was talking about

It gets a whole lot different and a whole lot harder when suddenly she gets catapulted into the real world and mistakes cost billions and get plastered all over the news every day.

She is not the only Labour politician who appears totally out of their depth

The National Insurance increase she has implemented will be massive in terms of inflation and likely job cuts.

It currently costs an employer £25822 plus pension contributions to employ someone on 40 hours a week at minimum wage. From April that jumps 10.2% to £28,457 plus even more pension contributions.

As for part time workers on 15 hours currently the employers get away with zero National Insurance, but in April the wage goes up by £600 a year and £679 National Insurance to pay,14.3% extra.

I often quote the example of the seesaw effect. When they increase tax they also proportionately decrease the amount of money people have to be spending

So businesses generally, as well as having increased overheads, also see less money coming in over the counter. That's a double whammy.

That's where these politicians prove that they don't understand how the real world works

UK is in such dire straights because we have chased our manufacturing base of yesteryear overseas - along with its employment and that tax income all in the name of net zero - and we can't even produce our own energy so import it on a 'just in time' basis seems we have 7 days worth of gas left.

It's crazy when you think that we are sitting on a thousand years worth of coal and that is just sitting there waiting to be dug up

And that gives the true reflection of the  intelligence of UK politicians since a clown dreamed up net zero?

They would bankrupt the economy to achieve nothing other than their names in the spotlight?

Whilst you are right in a sense, you are wrong in another sense;  that is that it is no different in that it costs her nothing - it costs others billlions

From what I have read, it has been 'suggested' that free prescriptions should start at pension age (i.e currently 66).

This was the 'suggestion' which was admittedly under the Sunak Gov't.

However this seems the same thing from Labour
