Dont forget they are on about a digital age check in pubs to stop “underage drinkers” which seems reasonable- but to protect staff from any potential mistake they will scan everyone- and have your details (the other week a fifty odd year old was refused alcohol in a supermarket because they didn’t have ID) So, you will be registered on the aforementioned database. Then you will apply for a job where you have to have an enhanced background check, of which you will gladly agree to - and lo and behold you don’t get the job….
