NoBodyImportant
A while back someone on this forum asked about why I’m not more interested in firearm regulation after a school shooting in California. I explained that it was 3000 miles away from me. That would be similar to the UK changing laws after something that happened in Syria. Mm, maybe to impose your own so called standards on another country when your own is a cess pit anyway seems strange to me personally. It's always the pursuit of something desired or needed or latetely the desire to impose so called morality or religion that seems behind it. We should sort out our own mess first maybe? Being a little irrelevant country now leaves us exposed to the will of others?

janner
Will the inevitable, several millions of refugees flooding out of an european warzone to safer countries be treated as 'legal' humans i wonder. If i was in eastern ukrania, like anybody that still can i would be preparing to flee right now, trump, putin and farage, the three that admire and respect each other so much. What a stitch up. Who's for continuing the war? Ukraine can't carpitulate under anything Russia wants. If there's to be negotiated peace, Russia is going to have to show movement to. Let me ask you, what exactly is Russia prepared to compromise on, because I've seen them offer nothing at all?

If you follow more than just the MSM you will see that Russia is already rebuilding cities behind the front line and russian supporting residents have already moved back. At an international diplomacy level you have to work with others to accomplish things, even if you dislike them personally, that is called "REALPOLITIK". Putin is doing what is best for Russia, Trump is doing what is best for the USA and hopefully form 2029 Farage will be doing what is best for the UK. Stammer, Macron, Biden were all happy to have a gamble at WWIII and kill everyone just to posture and preen themselves as they virtu-signal their countries into the ground. The compromise is they don't destroy and/or take over the whole country and physically. Previously Ukraine on Zelenskys orders (before the fighting really began in earnest) intialled the Istanbul agreement (the only outstanding matter to be negotiated later was deployment of Western troops in Ukraine), which confirmed Crimea was Russian, 4 Oblasts were to remain as part of Ukraine but have their own government (autonomous federalisation for lack of a better term), Ukraine was not joining NATO or the EU and the country's goverment would be de-Nazified. Due to the, treachary of Zelensky, blood and sacrifice of Russia, any new deal is on worse terms for the Ukranians such that in addition to the above, the 4 oblasts are now Russian. Putin would probably accept the rest as is, but may well ask for Dnipro and Odessa oblasts but not really expect to get them as part of a negoatiation. For those that don't undertand, there has been no stalemate in the war to date, and there won't be a ceasefire (Russia agreed to those before and was stabbed in the back), if this war continues, Russia having ground down over a million Ukranian troops (dead and severely wounded) is now approaching the position where the Ukrainian army (especiialy now USA has stopped supplies of arms and armaments) to start making large territorial gains over the summer, as the Ukrainian lines of defence are lacking in both manpower and equipment. Zelensky has 3 options, fight to the death of every last Ukrainian and lose, come to a deal or surrender unconditionally. 12 minutes ago, janner said: Quislings, Many coming out of the woodwork soon. Quislings are those who work with Nazi's, that would be your team, not Farage, Trump or Putin. If you look back, I agree that Ukraine is slowly loosing, despite the narrative you will see in the media being to the contrary. But that's hardly surprising when you look at Ukrainian manpower vs Russias. So to get this things right, you believe it's all Ukraines fault for continuing the war, because they won't give up due to being invaded and Russia is in the right because they're prepared to let Ukraine keep the bits of their country that the Russians don't want. Please explain this warped logic so I can make heads or tail of this 🤔 3 hours ago, janner said: Quislings, Many coming out of the woodwork soon. Eastern Ukraine voted to leave the Ukraine because they wanted to be Russian. The Ukrainian government started ethnic cleansing the eastern Ukraine region. That is literally what started this war. Why would eastern Ukrainians flee a Russian occupation when they were wiling to fight and die to escape Ukrainian rule? Ukraine government committed such atrocities in Donetsk and Luhansk that huge protests sprung up in Kyiv. Have you forgotten about the 2014 revolution? Eastern Ukraine is 97% Russia speaking. Ukraine government banned books written in Russian, they ruled that court and all government would be held in Ukrainian, schools would only be taught in Ukrainian. This is in a population that didn’t speak Ukrainian. The Ukrainian constitution agreed to honer any minority over 10% as part of them being granted freedom from the Soviets. So in accordance to the Ukrainian constitution the states of Donetsk and Luhansk held a vote that was overwhelmingly in support of breaking away from the Ukraine. This was done in a legal manner according to their on constitution. In response the Ukrainian government started killing everyone that spoke Russian in the eastern Ukraine. Nice to read such a concise answer, well done for researching all of this first hand, Some just read and believe partisan nonsense they read on the internet, posted by those with vested interests and swallow it, hook, line and sinker. And thus the lies and propaganda spread 'til they are believed. Edited March 1 by janner
