loriusgarrulus
Its nice to see a proper "Golden" Retriever. You don't see many Gordon setters about down here. Are there more about in Scotland. Have a soft spot for all Setters.
grrclark
Its nice to see a proper "Golden" Retriever. You don't see many Gordon setters about down here. Are there more about in Scotland. Have a soft spot for all Setters. Quite a lot of people have made similar comments about my golden, he is from working stock so is a good bit smaller than the typical big white "golden" retriever that are so common. As for the Gordon, I travelled to Skegness to get her. There are a handful of Scottish kennels but surprisingly few given that it is a Scottish breed, I think they are just fairly rare in general. The other Gordon in the second photo is what prompted us to get our one. Setters are just so full of character and a perfect compliment to the retriever, they are totally nuts at times, but great fun.

birdsallpl
what a cracking photograph and that lake looks familiar Thanks EVO, it is Rutland Water. My son has a 4ft canvas print of the photo hanging in his hallway. My wife wouldn't be too chuffed with that, she believes I think more of him than I do her as it is.
