majordisorder
For Sporting clays, the Benelli Supersport is pretty damn good.

Catweazle
Many people seem to regard the Beretta AL390 as the best. I had one briefly and it was good, but now I use a Beretta A400 Explor Unico, and that is really good. I think it's the most versatile 12g made. sitsinhedges
For general shooting, pigeons and clays the Beretta AL391 Urika is undeniably the best and most reliable
terence
You are all wrong best semi remington 1100 best pump remington wingmaster lets see what argument this starts
The Essex Hunter
None, If you cant hit the Quarry with two shots well pack up and go home...... From a maintenance point of view the more moving parts, the more there is to go wrong...... Would not have one as a gift, however there are many who like them and good luck. poontang
You'll never get a straight answer to that question. People will always tell you that what they shoot is best. I had a Remington 1100, and it was a fantastic handling gun, let down by it's unreliability, so it had to go. If they could that sort out I'd love another one. I have got a 870 Wingmaster though

Bowen20
Beretta seem to be the best makers of reliable semi's I had a al390 gold mallard and loved it and never had a problem with it even if I didnt clean it for ages it would still cycle anything faultlessly I'd have another one again infact I will be looking for one soon when I come into some cash but id definitely get one with a 26 inch barrel the one I had was 30 inches like swinging a drainpipe only drawback. And when I originally was looking for one I went to a gun shop spoke to the owner said I was looking for a nice semi auto straight away he started slating them and saying they are **** and always brake and jam and so on and showed me some over and unders I didn't like them and told him it's not what I'm looking for and left he didn't look too happy the miserable old ******** went to another shop and they let me have a shot or two of it and loved it so bought it they couldn't recommend them enough but that was probably because they were trying to sell it. Choose what's right for you m8 everyones different try a few out but I'd definitely recommend a beretta owned 1 and tried a few
originalgeezer
Benelli Supersport - fantastic gun Couldn't recommend one enough to people only downside, they are expensive but quality isn't cheap. So much so I am considering selling my O/U Beretta 686 Gold E as it never get's used anymore but thats another issue....
dai_ceyl
Beretta A400 Xplor. There really isn't anything else that compares anymore for reliability, "fit", comfort, and general build quality. 21g skeet right up to 64g 3.5" without any adjustment, and the 64g didn't even hurt that much even without the Kickoff system! Mines already won over a few old school s/s diehards!
Breastman
I can't believe this topic is up again, you could set your watch by it! At least there are more suggestions than just Beretta Extrema 2 and Benelli M2 this time though BTW, the Benelli M2 is THE best semi in case you were wondering
Dekers
Browning Maxus for me, but only if i could afford one :/ :/ Escort Magnum is also a great gun if your on a budget that is !!! :good: That's why i'm getting one  It had to happen, but at least it took 18 posts before someone mentioned the Hatsan.
