hi guys today me and my side kick pigeon driller set out to shoot a freshly cut barley field which we had been watching yesterday.we got set up at 12.45pm as we were talking to a bloke who just lived next to the field to keep the peace, the birds were coming in again pritty good but still didn't realy want to decoy for some reason, through out the day we changed the pattern about 4 times, dont get me wrong there were lots coming over so we shot a lot of them flighting in a way, through out the day we had to leave a lot as they would have landed in some property were we couldn't pick up which i think could have easily put another 40 in the bag.any way at the end of the day we had 230 exactly on our ckicker, we had a few away as you always do and we had some in the back of the van as when we went for more amo we put quite a few in,this is one of mine and drillers personal best bags to be honest so we were well suited, also ide just like to say we only had my 3 year old dog today jack picking up and he was brilliant as he easily has picked up 200 retrieves and at the moment looks like he has lost weight the poor lad, cheers simon....

The title of your thread did not do your achievement justice and I almost missed it altogether.

Very good going indeed. I loved your further comment that..'it was a hard day today'. Many will not understand the concentration, energy and effort involved in shooting consistently all day long. You must give your dog a few days off.

Let PW members know when you have sorted out who is the side kick between the two of you.

Good shooting you two :good: did you do a cartridge count ? not that it matters but its nice to know what your percentage was.

we didn't realy pal,to be honest they wasn't realy decoying well and a lot were shot high up so we did go through quite a few in all fairness, when they come into the decoys we usualy get good kill ratio as were both keen AA clay shooters, i can remember at the start of the day we had shot 35 in the first hour with only 3 or 4 misses but we went slightly down hill after that :oops::friends: but we kept at them
