r1steele
If your sister isn't keen on 2 wheels why not a quad which you would be able to borrow now and again. He gets a motorbike and you'd have a handy shooting vehicle when needed. Failing that he could try growing a pair.

Gimlet
Buy a bike anyway, but a 1953 BSA Bantam and sell the idea as essentially shed-based restoration activity and work up to a Harley from there.
Rupert
My missus is anti biking, but after a chat about the root cause agreed I coug have an enduro and take up green laning.
countryman
I started off road biking again about 2 years ago after many years away from it, i brought myself a KTM SXF 250, i only ride on practice tracks and some of my own land. I have had a few spills with the odd day off work to recover, but what fun. Chris
chacotawas
The first suggestion- by Fenboy. That's the only midlife crisis worthy of the name or worth the trouble.
kernel gadaffi
Tell him to join Pigeon watch and start arguing with folks about nothing, spout cliches and suggest gun fit is the answer to everything except pyramid selling.Being racist and a dislike of back doors will help him make many like minded friends. And that the ideal zero range for the HMR is 600 yards.

NickS
He should do what the government does - come up with something absurd, then settle on a "compromise" that only looks good against the first idea and would never be accepted otherwise. So, suggest learning to fly, costing £8k upwards, then explain how a bike would be so much cheaper, far less running costs and possibly safer. No problem getting agreement on that... 88b
Tell him to buy one of these, it's slow enough to just maim himself not kill himself and he can take the kids / fishing / shooting gear with him.
Imperfection
If motorbikes are out of the question then a few guns and a 20 year old slut should be the perfect gift.
Gimlet
He said a bike, not a tractor I agree the Beeza is the better bike. Unfortunately mid-life crises and Hardly Abletons go together. He needs to get it out of his system.

bruno22rf
He could buy a Hardly Davidson-they are like motorbikes but are too slow to hurt anyone even when you mend them long enough to get them on the road. Imagine having sex with an Asthmatic Cow and you will be about right. Edited November 23, 2013 by bruno22rf
Ollieollie
Tell your sister that life is too short to stop people doing what they want. Live your dreams or what's the point of being alive? Top answer, I,d of ditched here from the start if she's one of them birds(no offence intended), shouldn't let anyone stop you doing what makes you happy! Otherwise the sea fishing is quite adictive as suggested
