beesley121
Hi guys, Gonna pick up a few bits this year as I intend on doing more shooting this summer What do you guys use in the hide to cover you faces?
la bala
You can buy face veils, i have used a bit of scrim, i dont use anything now. its movement that spooks them.
Kes
There are some very good full face, mesh masks - I think Bushwear do an oak leaf one. Makes it easier to move about but I also agree with Welsh, they tend to come in if you are unmoving with no mask. You remember airtex vests? Die one dark green and that'll do. JDog
Why would you need to cover your face?
fenboy
Why would you need to cover your face? Perhaps his hat is not as big as yours, your face must always be in darkness !
Konnie
only use one on the foreshore ( camo balaklava) in summer pigeon decoying just a hat to shade from the sun as said its movement that spooks a lot of birds

carpentermark
Only ever used a face cover for rooks and crows in woods. Pigeon shooting from a hide you wont need one mate if you keep still.

The Essex Hunter
I use an army snood and a Le Chameau cap in the colder weather down the marsh, a camo hat with some panels cut out for the warmer weather just to keep the sun out. Longbower
I use a Army 'Beany Hat' to cover my baldy head, and some Scrim as a bandana, around my ugly kisser and over my nose. Stops the bugs and beasties, getting in . Just keep you, and your Gun Barrel still , and you should be ok. Longchalk
I use a military style shamargh. Very versatile, and easy to tie once you get the hang of it. Also keeps your head warm in winter, and breaks up your outline. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MILITARY-ARMY-ISSUE-O-D-SHEMAGH-SCARF-ARAB-SAS-RETRO-/110752795342 Scares the **** out of walkers and ramblers though.
