How to stop Jury service ?

My lovely employer just last week instigated a new policy of no pay whilst on Jury service. Today I got the letter from.... you guessed it, the HM Courts service for Jury duty. I know from previous experience they mess you about for half the day then dismiss you day after day but always within the 4 hours time slot to keep the lowest 1/2 day payments to £32.

Deferred duty seems a waste of time.

What good excuses can I use to get out of it?

Been there mate, lost a fortune over the two weeks, there half a day is about 2.00pm send home, I only work till 4pm,so buy the time I got home, changed , waste of time trying to get to work.

What was annoying was that for the first 4 days I was just sat there waiting to be picked for a trail.

It's odd isn't it, I know people who would give their right arm to do it but they never get asked.

I have been called up four bloody times, swerved it twice, and done it twice.

First swerve I may or may have been working abroad, the second time I actually was.

I am never doing it again, I have done my time.

tell them you will be away on holiday on said date.

They will just call you up when you get back.
