For those who are unfamiliar with EDC: "Everyday carry (EDC) or every day carry refers to items that are carried on a consistent basis to assist in dealing with normal everyday needs, including possible emergency situations." Basically do a pocket dump and take a photo. NZ is pretty much a cashless society, so no dirty looks if you buy a can of coke with a debit card. I never carry cash, but do keep a little of "emergency cash" in the car.
