Me matt
Good on the guy 👍 By now he's definitely had enough of his cry baby team mate. I say toto should bring Max in 😎 Make hamiltons backside twitch a bit into turn one 😬 Max would definitely give him a run for his money in a silver arrow. Highlandladdie
+1 it's the only thing that would liven F1 up that's for sure. And - No team orders, less grip, no electronics ie, Traction control. Launch control. Throttle blipping on down shifts. Closed loop fueling, Anti-jerk. No pit stops for change of tyres or fuel etc. We'd find the best driver then, and it'd be far more entertaining with the emphasis on manufacturers making a more usable engine that is good on tyres. Davyo
Just get rid of all the drivers and stick the BTC mob in.
Mike737
I think he knew Hammy would take it back off him next year. If Hammy hadn't had so many technical problems, and a place demotion due to needing new parts, Rosberg would not have won. Good driver, but right place right time got him where he is. So he can retire 'Undefeated' as it were. Mike.
lksopener
Fair play if I could retire at 31 I would.

ditchman
They really need to stop defering to Jackie Stewart......................Stewart refered to Rosberg "as a child" and said some totally wrong statements about what it was like in F1 now......i rekon he is loosing his marbles............better off talking and asking for Stirling Mosses or nikibLaudas opinion............it was quite embarassing to listen to... Billy.
I must be the only person here to think he's a cop-out. Not even attempting to defend his title, let alone try and go for the double or treble Edited December 2, 2016 by Billy.
E.w.
I must be the only person here to think he's a cop-out. Not even attempting to defend his title, let alone try and go for the double or treble Maybe he just values his life more than winning another title, it can't be great driving on the edge like most of these drivers do week after week when you've got a family waiting on you back home. I for one wish him well in whatever he does in the future.
keg
It's his choice, he won this year, no more to say.

I for one wish him well in whatever he does in the future. It's so safe now, you probably run more risk on your drive to work in the morning. It is arguably harder to defend a title, so I can see the view point of a kop out. He is financially secure, and I doubt that is him finished with motorsport. He just seems to lack drive, desire. Surely got a couple of seasons left?

Davyo
If you listened to Coultard quizzing Rosbergs agent on the grid.He got an absolute fortune (bonus that agent wouldnt disclose).Money is no good to a dead or cabbaged millionare. ShootingEgg
I personally dont rate him.. He got lucky that hamiltons car had "reliability" issues all season. If on that last race the pack got backed up then I honestly think in wheel to wheel racing he would of crashed.. but hey, thats jist my thoughts

He knew that was unlikely to recur in 2017 and it is the only time he has come out on top above Hamilton in 25 years. Now who will take his place? Paul1440
Billy, I am with you. He only won against Hamilton this year because of Hamilton's mechanical misfortune. He knew that was unlikely to recur in 2017 and it is the only time he has come out on top above Hamilton in 25 years. Now who will take his place? Yes but the record books will only say F1 champ 2016 - Rosberg. Just to add;like we say on the clay ground 100 chippy kills beats 99 ball of dust. You don get scored on quailty, just numbers. I recon Button should jump in.. out scored Hamilton at Mclaren. Edited December 2, 2016 by Paul1440
