we like to think ...where we live is away from modern life ...we have no thro road...you use the same road (4miles) to get in and out.........

was shocked to hear a local farmer chairman of the parrish council...just returned from America...died of Coronavirus....apparently he had the venterlater withdrawn from him as it was doing no good ....he was and older citizen ...his wife is at home also has corvid-19....but at a low level....

which just go to show.........how this virus travels....

DONT TRAVEL AND IT WONT SPREAD .......................simples

nice to hear on the local news folk are being sensible and not hitting the coastal areas cause of the glorious weather

keep safe ...its starting to hit home now...........

Its supposed to be warmer tomorrow, that will be a test for if people stay home.

Someone wrote somewhere,  if you don't go out it can't follow you home!

The roads here have certainly been a lot quieter around here today than at any time during this last week , mind you I have seen more dog walkers using the foot paths now the weather is warming up .

Shame about one of your residents ..... Stay Safe and we will get there .

How absolutely selfish that people are still returning from overseas and walking thru our Airports unchallenged - they should be isolated for at least 2 weeks, obviously 3000+ deaths is not enough to wake people up? This whole situation was totally avoidable and I'm sorry but the blame is with Boris. When this is all over there's going to be a lot of  questions to answer.

100%   I just cannot believe the reports of people just walking in off planes and ships. There is little doubt that the farmer and his wife brought the virus back with them unknowingly and where not tested or quarantined.  Stay safe Simon, common sense is all it takes.  Had a couple in our village just returned from South Africa, no checks etc., coming into our relatively remote village similar to Cantley.  Frightening.

Sadly it is the 'uman rights legal brigade that are the main problem they were all rubbing their hands and looking at court cases as soon as the first lots were put in isolation on return ( not sure but I believe some are ongoing on the quiet).

The last thing you need when trying to deal with this situation is crowds of "money grabbing vultures" circling with treats of prolonged and expensive law suits.

I understand people coming home, but there should be checks in place for anyone returning,  it's no wonder London is as bad as it is.

Smiling Is Infectious
by Spike Milligan

Smiling is infectious,
you catch it like the flu,
When someone smiled at me today,
I started smiling too.
I passed around the corner
and someone saw my grin.
When he smiled I realized
I'd passed it on to him.
I thought about that smile,
then I realized its worth.
A single smile, just like mine
could travel round the earth.
So, if you feel a smile begin,
don't leave it undetected.
Let's start an epidemic quick,
and get the world infected!
