They are not the hard left they are the Looney Left. Not bad people probably just painfully deluded. They see the world through rose tinted glasses. Presumably because they have been offered lots of money to do so So what happens when the hotels start to think maybe housing migrants isn't such a good idea after all? What are the Government going to do with all the migrants? I dont blame the hotels, they are a business enterprise, and business is good with all the taxpayer money we're paying to house migrants. Yes it's happened in Newquay Cornwall near where I live and the local shops and restaurants were the first to complain. That's how I first became aware of the consequences. All these small, old/tired hotels were struggling after lock down. Then, magic money tree blooms and the properties are leased to HMG - at full price for every room per night, regardless of occupancy. As for damage, it’s nothing for HMG to underwrite all losses or damage if that becomes an issue. I presume the buildings already have something similar in place for damage caused by the occupants.
