How much longer does Hezbollah have?

Apparently Hezbollah have fired a long range missile at Tel Aviv which did not get to its target (Mossad HQ).

For an awful long time, anything inbound can be tracked, tackled and the origin of said missile targeted.

How do they (Hezbollah) think they can win against possibly the strongest military in that part of the world?

Israel can never win, history shows that if they haven't won by now it isn't going to happen

It all goes back to 1947/8

Oh I quite agree, but they will continue to respond (heavily) to whatever Hezbollah or Hamas or any other terrorist organisation send their way.

This^^^.

Hezbollah is also a mind set that recreates itself every time a civilian is killed. The stance of the Israel is self defeating. They need to find a peaceful solution and get out of land they don't own.

It's a bit like the NI problem it's unsolvable until it's solved. Peace requires a future. Blair could sort it.

You can always tell when things get serious in the world gold prices rise high! Today it’s reached another record peak at £2006 an ounce.Even during Covid it only went to £1600. Now 33% up in 12 months! Silver at nearly £25 an ounce too!

Hi Tightchoke

The Isrealis call it 'mowing the grass'.

Yes, I have heard that term.

I think a TEMPORARY ceasefire is pointless, the rockets will continue to be fired and Israel will continue to hit back HARD.

The ONLY possible way to stop it all is to take Iran out of the equation.

Given that Israel's neighbours will settle for nothing less than killing all Israelis, just how do they reach a peace?

Hi Gordon R

Almost certainly just rhetoric - leave the Palastinians with the small slice of their own land upto this point, with out external 'embugerance' and no visions of Greater Isreal, they and the neighbours will have a different mindset.

Norman Finkelstein, John Mearsheimer some commentators that speak/write as it is and without having a narrow focus or bowing to any external influence..........U-Tube has many examples.

Hi Gordon R

Ah yes, Regime Change' under a different umbrella - Afghanistan and the Talibs - the US eventually conceded - didnt heed British Empire history but found wanting that hi-tech military is not always the answer.

Vietnam and our own Troubles in Ireland, more recently Iraq, Libya, Syria......

Sure, poke Iran and it adds more fuel to an existing fire...................leading to more swamping our shores and holding us to blame for and keeping the fire of 'ideology' going.

PS - One groups' Terrorist' is anothers 'Freedom Fighter' - remember Mandela and ANC in South Africa?

I certainly do, but with the backing of Iran continuing the saga will never end.

Sorting out Iran is the only long-term solution.
Any talk about doing a deal with the Palestinians ignores the small matter that every “party” in power there proudly announces that is main aim is to crush Israel and force all Jews out.
There are no moderates speaking up because Iran funds the extremists, who in turn kill everybody who opposes them.
