chrisjpainter Posted Sunday at 17:55 Report Share Posted Sunday at 17:55 Depends if I'm allowed to drive. If I am, then the North West of Scotland. If not, then nowhere! Exciting times

RCB56 Posted Sunday at 18:45 Report Share Posted Sunday at 18:45 Try Croatia, only a 2 hour flight, friendly locals and plenty of sunshine.
Dougy Posted Sunday at 18:50 Report Share Posted Sunday at 18:50 Not too far for us, for me as many days as possible stalking up Scotland, and some time with Mrs D traveling round the UK in a new caravan, looking in a few weeks now we have decided on our chosen layout. We've stayed at the Palm Royale 17 times so far (twice a year for two weeks, apart from a one week stay)) and another two weeks coming up. Haven't stayed at the Savoy as yet but friends of ours who we know from the Palm Royale have highly recommended it. It's right on Soho Square. Should be out there for the best part of 4 weeks. Off for a long weekend in Kersey, Suffolk at the end of March to celebrate the completion of my wife’s cancer treatment. welsh1 Posted Sunday at 22:51 Report Share Posted Sunday at 22:51 We are thinking of riding the Spyder down to Bordeaux in the summer for a week or two, had a great time in the Dordogne last year.
islandgun Posted Sunday at 23:06 Report Share Posted Sunday at 23:06 I like Bordeaux, would like to get the night ferry to St Malo and have a few nights in hotels in that area. However the thought of travelling no longer appeals much, just as soon have breaks in easy to reach places closer to home. Also can't see much point in just being a tourist

Minky Posted Monday at 00:23 Report Share Posted Monday at 00:23 6 hours ago, Red carp said: don’t bother with UK destinations I need sun 🌞 It appears that the majority of posters never read that bit. When do you think that you would like to go away. We've been to most places. I quite like Costa Adeji Tenerife or Funchal Maderia. Various cruises. But everyone is different in what they like. I worked with a bloke who loved America and he loved to drive. He wanted to drive at least 3000 miles. If he hadn't driven the 3000 miles he'd drive round the car park a few times... odd bloke. There was a mate who worked very hard and worked all sorts of shifts. He holidayed to an all inclusive on Lansarote. He never went out of the hotel site. He just wanted to laze in the sun. He didn't want to talk to anyone, he wasn't interested in hotel entertainment. Total relaxation. One holiday we went on there was a couple who had been to the same hotel room for 12 years. He and his Mrs just sat under a parasol and read books. I asked him where the bus stop was to go into town. He said that he didn't know because they never been into the local town.! So what do you want from your holiday.? Is it just for you and the Mrs or do you want to take the kids with you.?

We went from Jasper to Vancouver, Gold Leaf service, and also went to Vancouver Island so that we could visit Butchart Gardens. I'm no gardener (my wife is), but even I was impressed.
