  1. Trigger is 100% improved by removing the washers ASunnyD-real easy to do - remove all 4 securing Philips screws from the woodwork - the forend ones have anti shake washers so be careful not to lose them. Jiggle the action from the stock (its a really snug fit) and lay the action down on its side with the trigger facing you - at the very front of the trigger unit you will see a small screw with 3 tiny washers underneath it - unscrew it and remove 2 of them - replace the screw and refit the action to the stock - fit one screw at a time loosely before finally tightening all 4. Take it outside to test it - cock the gun and release the safety then shake the gun and bang it with the palm of your hand to make sure that the trigger is not too light - if it is then simply replace one of the removed washers but I'm pretty sure that all will be fine - enjoy your new trigger - sooooo much better
  2. After over 30 years shooting right handed I lost my right eye so had no option but to change - you can get cross over stocks but never fancied one myself. It is strange at first but within a year you will be fine - your main problem is going to be your right eye dominance and finding a convenient way of over coming it .
  3. Spanish built gun made by Astra Unceta y Cia in Guernica I believe - went out of business in the late 70's so she's over 30 years old - looks good for her age
  4. A very generous offer colin lad - but not unusual for a man such as yourself-btw, Zetter - you are a lucky chap - Colin is one of the nicest guys you could hope to meet .
  5. Bought one of these cheapies a few weeks back from a local dealer - at £100 brand new with a scope, mounts etc I was struggling to find a reason not to buy it. Not really expecting great things from her to be honest - Chinese built guns have never been very high up my wish list and I am fortunate enough to be able to afford, pretty much, any gun that I choose so I am lucky not to have to go over board where value is concerned. First impressions were quite pleasing - comes well packaged and reminds me somewhat of the FWB 124/7's of yesteryear so not a bad looker. Due to the suspect quality of the supplied items an old one piece mount that I had laying around was brought back into service to hold a Simmons 1.5 - 5 x 32 scope ( that I simply cannot recall where it came from) and testing, in earnest, began. Unless Arnie is your neighbour, and is up for pulling the trigger for you, the first hurdle is the trigger. I can understand the thinking behind a trigger pull that errs on the side of safe but the express unit is ridiculous. Five minutes with a Philips screwdriver had the action out of the stock ( it's actually very well made when you see it "naked") and removing 2 washers from the sear adjusting screw resulted in a rather pleasant trigger pull - happy days. Shooting the beast is a bit of a shock if you are used to high end PCP's - the usual quiet puff of my favourite gun is dull in comparison to the express's impression of fireworks night - various twangs, pops and clunks are accompanied by an entertaining cloud of smoke that chokes all around you for a few minutes - if you can imagine BBQ' ing 3 in 1 oil then you are pretty much there. After 20 or so shots the landscape around you begins to reappear and your vision becomes clear enough to see that, yes, the trigger really is that far forward and your hand has not, actually, shrunk. The stock/pistol grip on this gun was , most likely, designed with the expectation that Arnie really is your neighbour. But the little blighter has actually grown on me, with the better scope/mount fitted, and using my usual AA fields (.22) she will produce a ragged 5 shot one hole group at just over 25 yards which cannot be bad for something that costs around the same as my PCP does to service - power, according to my chrono , is 11.1 ft/lb and is more than adequate for vermin. This morning found my slumber rather rudely interrupted by a love sick pigeon coo coo'ing its head off whilst perched in the Hawthorn at the end of my garden - at 6:30 my forgiveness gland is not 100% so the express had a noisy word with said bird - at just over 40 yards the bird experienced an unfortunate meeting with 16 grains of AA's finest lead and I,m afraid that Romeo tooketh a rather nasty tumble earthwards from which moment peace was restored. So now the express and I are on good terms and I am actually considering using her for hunting and also reconsidering my opinions on cheap Chinese guns - time will tell but , at the moment, I would be more than happy to recommend this one.
  6. Bought from this member a few years ago - shot is extremely high quality .
  7. Jesus wept rimfire4969 - if you are going to be so picky then post a few snaps of her and someone on here would ,most likely, share a bed with her-I would offer myself but, by God her sense of humour would be tested then.
  8. You emailed them for an Allen Key??? Christ on a bike.....you can buy them in Poundland, Halfords, Tesco's, B&M etc etc
  9. Oddly enough I actually saw a chap using a B15 last Sunday at our club - never heard of them before but the Woodwork caught my eye and I asked if I could look at the gun - OMG - cannot explain how stunning they are cos the swear filter would have a field day but, my God, an absolute work of art - simply beautiful.
  10. I try to buy manufacturer refurbished units now-most Laptops don't seem to last more than a couple of years anyway and you CAN get the same warranty if you shop around-the one I'm using now is 4 years old + however long before it was originally returned and is still going strong.
  11. Well that's my mind changed then-just waiting for conformation that the Krankies want IN and I'm in bed with Yerp.
  12. Another vote for AA Fields-pm me your addy and I can post you a 100 of the blighters.
  13. I'm guessing that blueoneball1299 would like to narrow down the guys position within the thousand square miles that is Dorset???
  14. It's great stuff if you sell it but about as much use as a one legged man at an a**e kicking party in the real world.
  15. That's a shame-but on the other hand I would guess that the vast majority of Airgun users on here have spent more time hunting with a single shot gun than a multi - I would also struggle to recall many times when a multi has made much difference to my bag - shooting in the dark is easier with a pre fed magazine but it most likely just as easy to find the breach so its horses for courses - don't let it bother you - fieldcraft and experience are far more important than a multi shot capacity any day and will produce many more successful hunts.
  16. I agree with robbiep, nothing that the angry side of 2500psi will not sort out.
  17. I use 27g Power Red 7's (fibre) in mine-clay cartridge but no complaints so far from the pigeons.
  18. Most likely not relevant now but back in the 80's I had a bad car accident and my car was totalled - in the boot was a Winnie 101 that the police took from the scene and stored at a local station. By the time I was up and about again it was nearly 2 months before I went to collect the gun - it was covered in rust!!! - god alone knows where they had stored it but it was ruined - worse still was the fact that it was a mates gun and I had to buy him a new one
  19. When you say "arrived" do you mean that you bought it without seeing it? If so then you are protected by the distance selling regs. - these allow you to return an item within 14 days (you have no obligation to give a reason) and get a full refund (minus postage)-you could return it and simply pay the extra for the multi?-don't get stuck with something that is not exactly what you wanted.
  20. Payback time-buy a bar of soap the same colour as the toothpaste she uses-sit it in a dish of water for about 10 minutes.....take the cap off the toothpaste tube and push the neck of the tube into the soap so that a plug is formed at the mouth of the tube. When you go to bed the night you have completed the task simply lay back and listen to the sound of sweet revenge
  21. I think that you will also need to strip out the action and move the locking lug on the bolt around 180 degrees-as for the bolt handle, I,m pretty sure that they have studloc or something similar applied at the factory so heat from a hairdryer etc should help.
  22. I agree - moving to the states has cost the show much of its charm, and talking in dollars whilst selling to your typical yank is pointless when trying to make a comparison in blighty - I also noticed that they are adding the man hours taken to restore the cars - 44 hours in the episode that I watched - add that to the cost of the restoration and you would be bankrupt in days. Much prefer CAR SOS now.
  23. The "arrestor" pin is often used with spring powered Airguns - not needed with a RF.
  24. 6 months if you're lucky rovercoupe? I have 2 external LED (pir controlled) lights that have been there at least 3 years and never missed a beat (cheap Chinese units) and ,after redecorating our kitchen 4 years ago, I bought a pack of 10 LED GU10 bulbs from china (via Ebay) for about a tenner and only one has , so far, broken.
  25. I think the whole country should take a vote on whether we stay in the Eurovision or not - although if we stop writing and singing songs who knows what could happen - more likely to be a War for one , I should think, and exports would plummet as well as the cost of food increasing
