  1. Wow....so perfect that it's almost better than being there....great pics that you should be proud of.
  2. What if we can provide it but some people just don't want to have it? Hard to feel sorry for the Tit that was on the street but had been offered accommodation - his answer of drinking his problems away is 100% self inflicted and no amount of money thrown at a waste of space like that is going to help. Loved Willie Thorne on the program and his plight had me in tears....a night in a hotel because he had a swollen ankle? - not laughed so much in ages - pathetic.
  3. Anyone's passing is sad, I agree, but come on....soon as he appeared on most peoples screen he disappeared at the touch of a button - now THAT felt like magic.
  4. Dougal.....surely a survey is compulsory before any mortgage company will even consider lending money against it + why go to a local Solicitor? - he's not going to pop into your local to meet up with the lender and shopping around is the name of the game.
  5. Go to an independent mortgage advisor as they have access to many more different products/mortgages, go for a repayment and get a fixed rate for as low as you can for as long as you can. If you have been offered a good discount then mortgage companies should be falling over themselves to offer you a loan as their money is pretty safe....shop around for life insurance if the mortgage company demand that you have one. Pay for as much as you can up front i.e. don't add solicitors costs to your mortgage, again, shop around as some solicitors do the job online far more cheaply. Good Luck.
  6. What a load of carp...we ended up hearing as much about our poor "Celebs" as we did about homeless people ( one of who was not homeless and one who had been offered a council property but did not "want to live in a box") . Some could afford drugs but told how they had been driven into the habit ( which we are expected to foot the bill for their numerous half hearted attempts at rehabilitation) and the common denominator seemed to be that it is all someone else's fault ....well not always chaps.
  7. Public footpath is just what it says surely - I cannot see any reason why you would need permission.
  8. You say that the dog hasn't bitten anyone yet but then you say that if you carry on with some actions then she bites?? I'm sorry to be blunt but if any of my dogs bared their teeth at me they would be left in no uncertain terms who is top dog in the house - the Bitch is simply challenging you for possession.
  9. Surely their success proves that their Business strategy works?.IF they are selling Nasty beers and Iceland style foods then that's obviously what people are happy to pay for? Given that most people are happy to pay thru the nose for Ditch Water if you put a fancy label on the bottle and give the stuff a Stupid name(Boon Doggle?)then might I suggest that quality is no longer king - rather value for money and convenience. I'm all for quaint little village pubs where the Land Lord sleeps with his Ales but I don't see why I should be held to ransom when I walk in the door - the prices are grossly inflated (I think to make you think you are getting a better quality product) and I'm sure that most sell Ales bought at Tesco's (other Supermarkets are available) along with food bought from the likes of Brakes. Good Luck to Wetherspoons, I say.
  10. I'm 54 and had a double Transplant , Heart attack and a stroke within the last 6 years and Heart Failure along with bad circulation that makes walking any distance very hard work. Last year saw me in Intensive care 4 times with septicaemia although the year began well with a urethroplasty operation where they cut thru my crutch to pull out the urethra to remove a small length before stitching it all back together again. Lost an eye to Diabetes and most of the sensation in my feet but I can still walk around Tesco's ,albeit slowly, and do the shopping. Next time you see someone walking away from a car with a blue badge maybe it's worth remembering that we are not all in wheel chairs. After 2 years of fighting I get £52/week PIP and a pension of £60/ month
  11. Gun is made by Sabatti (FIAS) who still manufacture guns so you could try emailing them if you get stuck. I had trouble getting one last year but finally managed to get one from a gunsmith who just happened to have one in stock.
  12. Your solicitor should have sorted this when you bought the house - he is possibly still liable?
  13. saddler - spot on sir....many thanks.
  14. If you had bought it you would soon get used to missing things

felly100 - can you warn me next time you produce a Gem like that
  16. Bought a (used) Hoggs coat (from lksopener on this forum) last September and I cannot remember a day since when I have not worn it. Been out in the worst of Weathers and remained warm and dry to such an extent that I have been known to nod off wearing it waiting for Pigeons to put in an appearance - Superb quality and, if it ever wears out, I would not hesitate to buy another.
  17. I'm on PIP-what they forget to mention is the application process...Applied in April 2014 and finally got an interview in March 2015....you get nothing till you have been interviewed.
  18. Can anyone recall the film/episode where the lads were at a party and, I think Laurel, had a piece of wood that made a loud crack when he hit people on the backside with it, Hardy then took it from him to do the same but hit a woman??
  19. Then let your wife pay for the damage - if my other half was being unreasonable then a few choice words would sort the issue. Other option would be to pop down to your nearest Homebase and buy some Polystyrene tiles and some Decorators Caulking - cut the Tiles to fit and line your cabinet with them. Make sure that your guns are not really cold when you put them away and use something like Napier Gun Cleaner on the metal.
  20. Ammo is a major contributing factor to longer range shooting with the lr.....only rounds I trust over 60 yards are RWS HV HP , hard to get hold of but, by God, accurate little lumps.
  21. You would have got a much faster response if you said that they were driving around the Green in an untaxed Car doing well over 30.
  22. To be in with a chance round here you need to offer the asking price or above if you really want it - most houses are sold within 2-3 days....sometimes hours.
  23. I know exactly what you mean figgy - but I suppose it depends on what "floats your Boat". I would find the endless task of attempting to put 10 shots thru the same hole rather depressing but I can understand the desire for perfection. I was out this morning at 6:15 after squizzers and as I got into position I managed to knock my S410 over from the tree that I had leant it against - if I had spent less time cussing and more time concentrating I may have avoided doing exactly the same thing again seconds later - each time she fell it was with a sickening thud. I had no choice but to carry on and within 15 minutes I had one in the bag but just did not feel right not knowing that the gun may be off zero. Bought her home and cleaned all the mud off and then put a target down the garden to see how much damage had been done.....25 yards exactly - 10 Barracuda Hunter Extremes tore a ragged hole that I could hide with a 5p coin slightly above the centre of the Bull. Now that floats my Boat....straight out of the Tin.
  24. Not sure if I envy him or not....On one hand he's had a great innings but on the other he has had to endure over 70 years of the worst memories that life could throw at him......We can but hope that he has managed to find some semblance of peace.
