  1. Where did you find the plans please? David.
  2. I would prefer a 452 to a 455. David.
  3. I use an electric sharpener at home. I do have the full set of files and can use them. The reason I like the machine is you can set it to trim all the teeth to the same length. The hardening problem can happen but you have to be careful just to use it with a very soft touch so the chain doesn't overheat. The file problem is as ditchman says use a good file and don't expect it to last for ever. I find the Huskie guides easier to use for a good result. David.
  4. I thought Murray was fantastic, his work ethic, commitment and sheer grit when things are tough is a lesson to us all. Did Britain and Scotland proud. Three sets didn't tell the same story at all. Raonic was averaging seven aces a set on the way through the tournament, didn't even get that many in the whole match. A good return of a service doing over 140mph is really something. David.
  5. What about a 7 x 64, everything a 270 should be. David.
  6. Depends over how far as well I should think. Some very fast bullets are very light and lose speed rapidly while some heavier for calibre, slower, but ballistically more efficient rounds hold out over longer ranges. 2p worth. David.
  7. I have a pair of these picked up at an auction (lot less than £70) as "truck bins" they are excellent, but they do have one drawback they have hard non adjustable eyecups which are fine if you don't wear glasses. David.
  8. So the answer is "life's too short" . David.
  9. John is one of the good guys. There is a whole section on pumps. See Pump Club. I have a BPS which is a lot of fun. David.
  10. It's a conspiracy to check if we are checking up on conspiracies!!!!!!!!!!!!!! David.
  11. Actually it sounds a bit weird, but a bit of limbo might be just what we need as a country. Give people time to think. I may not be the only one tired of knee jerk re-actions and the "something must be done" syndrome. Perhaps a bit of inaction will allow the dust to settle and the markets to settle without too much macho posturing. David.
  12. She is a member of the Labour Party, so who needs objectivity? David.
  13. Thought at first they were tightening up the rules on abusive posts!!!! I have a Hausken on my 7mm and that seems good and is pretty light. Over on SD the DPT seems to get a good press for lightness and muffling. David.
  14. I hope all goes very well but remember it is possible to learn to shoot of the other shoulder if that was the best solution. David.
  15. Well Tony Blair's landslide was on 36% of the vote. The system works like that with multiple parties, and close run things in elections. David,
  16. Have another responsible person or a lawyer named as an executor, they can get a section seven and dispose of them properly. David.
  17. It's a secret ballot, the clue is in the name, we aren't supposed to know. Also I think we should beware of generalisations. A lot of younger people might have "secretly" voted out because of things like the fact that the EU allowed China to dump steel and therefore damaged their job prospects. David.
  18. When Karamojo Bell retired from elephant hunting and came home to Scotland to stalk deer (when he came back he was asked if he needed help with stalking to which he replied he thought he could manage) he gave up his big rifles (7 x 57 or 318) and used a 220 swift for red deer. Mind you he was a bit of an above average shot. David.
  19. ‘Won’t you join our Common Market?’ said the spider to the fly, ‘It really is a winner and the cost is not too high’. ‘I know De Gaulle said ’’ Non’’, but he hadn't got a clue, ‘We want you in, my friends and I, as we have plans for you. ‘You’ll have to pay - a little more - than we do, just for now, ‘As Herr Kohl said, and I agree, we need a new milch cow, ‘It’s just a continental term, believe me , Mon ami, ‘Like ‘’Vive la France’’ or ‘’Mad Anglais’’ or even ‘’E.E.C.’’. ‘As to the rules, don’t worry friend, there’s really but a few, ‘You’ll find that we ignore them - but they all apply to you. ‘Give and share between us, that’s what it’s all about, ‘You do all the giving, and we all share it out. ‘It’s very British, is it not, to help a friend in need? ‘You've done it twice in two World Wars, a fact we must concede. ‘So climb aboard the Market Train, don’t sit there on the side, ‘Your continental cousins want to take you for a ride’ ANON d'EUROPA David.
  20. Plastic boats are rotten earths so I guess it shorts two coils back to the motor chassis. David.
  21. Sounds like it will short out each coil when closed. Probably has one coil per cylinder. David.
  22. However, the "naked hiker" kept getting arrested. Makes you think? David.
